You need a really nice custom made suhr modern or 24 fret tele!

Gas will never be dead. Maybe now but in a few months or year, you'll want something else. The only cure for gas is to stop visiting forums.

Not for me.

I thought I had everything I needed except for the odd pedal and perhaps a 212 cab but man-o-man, a CAE Custom Switching System and a Peters three channel high gain amp just blew everything open for me again. Give it time. You'll find something that catches your eye and makes your heart beat faster.

I'm in the same boat. 2C+ and a great 2204 are all I need....the only GAS I have is for a Wizard. But at 3k+ I don't see it happening any time soon. I don't GAS for new guitars, I'd rather find vintage USA superstrats that play and sound as good as any new version out there. 5 cabs with different speakers give me a cool change of tone when I want. Intellifex and a few pedals. I'm good. Lots of great choices out there, but my weakness is for amps and the contrast between the Mesa and Marshall keep me happy.

I had the unicorn. Let it go in the name of GAS.
hopped on the merry go round for a while. ..
only to snag my unicorn amp back.
Game over.
That amp is my FJA modded Recto

Not as long as I can't say no to good refried beans....

....depending on what you're tastes vary to wait 'til you try some old Fender amps that rock hard. Old Fender's can be a rabbit hole. Tweed, Brown, blackface etc. That's my vice, wanting good versions of all the classic amp family tree, of Fender, Vox and Marshall. Speakers too, especially alnico's.

2016 Friedman BE-100 has killed 99% of all Amp gas.
There is 1 Unicorn out there I may never get. But I kinda don't care.
I don't even play the others anymore.
I don't have ANYTHING to look at online.
My amp flipping tendencies have been curbed.
I actually feel a little hollow.
Like the thrill of the chase has been subdued.

This has also happened with my guitars.
Between my Les Paul collection and my ESP's

I don't have anything to look at that Im interested in. (Except another ESP)

Is Gas dead? will there be a resurrection?!?

what is the unicorn you are after?? The only things I really gas for now are an uber rare Ibanez J Custom(rg10 in a flamed light red top), I think maybe 5 were made, and it doesn't look like it will ever happen. I have never even seen one in the wild, just on Ibanez website! The other is my old ccv. Sold it for pretty cheap to a fellow rigtalker so when he sells it he will sell it back to me for the same price. Its been a couple years, maybe he will sell it soon. It was a balls to the wall ccv, the thing absolutely ripped!

I like THIS forum...but I haven't seen anything I care about...yet. there is ALWAYS the Unicorn...

Who's the unicorn?

mine is soooo dead, im over it I know what I need to get it done now and not much else..even if I change genres to whatever..
its a good feeling!

I am done.

Got the less paul things covered.
My caparison is good.
Got the old Marshalls.
Got a reeves for hiwatt itch.

But.....gonna build an 800, oops may be not.

I have been so close to pulling the trigger on a BE100, Smallbox and JCM800. But I finally have my DSL 50 dialed in, I'm starting a '69 Plexi clone build next week and, well, I think I'm covered. I'm honestly liking my DSL 50 more than my SLO now. Just played my 5150 Stealth for an hour today and it's a keeper. My 1959SLP RI is my number one amp. I just don't know what else I need that I'd have time to play. I like to shop for deals, but I wouldn't even think of stretching for anything now. If my Plexi clone build doesn't blow me away, I might grab a Ceriatone Yeti. But I can't think of anything else.

I suspect the unicorn is a '90s Blueface VH4. FWIW #1, I had a Blueface VH4S. Very cool amp, but I don't really miss it. FWIW #2, that amp and some guitars I've had I considered unicorns or whatever, but I tend to be most impressed with random stuff I pickup because it's a good deal or rarely available. So I don't really have terrible GAS, but I always keep an eye out for cool 7-strings and amps.

I hear you Reza. That's why I just had my gear purge to chase down those things that really seemed like the missing pieces. I have come full circle and realized I love my Les Pauls, my ESP's, my white Charvel. I even got the chance (thank you to a friend on here) to play the amps I thought I had to have. Now I'm glad all the Wizards never came through because after spending a few hours with a vc100 and the newest mcii (I loved the mcii) I left happy I didn't drop 4k on one. I'm not saying they were bad in any way, it just wasn't for me. I got the axe8 and sold it within two days to the guy who let me play his Wizards. He just wanted it for a new toy. I realized I'll just never be happy with digital, love my tubes. It's been a crazy journey letting guitars go that I've had for 20 years but I have taken a log the last year and a half seeing what I grab for shows. I always take the same gear Splawn QR, ESP Phoenix, Les Paul standard faded. I occasionally throw in a Charvel but it's rare. I love to play them at home more. I did however love the SLO. I never realized how awesome the crunch channel is when dimed. Everyone talks about the OD channel which is killer but until you told me about maxing that out to get my jcm 800 on steroids, I would've just messed with od and missed half the magic. The SLO is a firebreather. I guess it really is a classic for good reason. I'm going to run that with my Splawn and have boner tone

Just a temporary lull until a new update/model is announced, imo...
