Is Ghost pretty much a one man show.....

Most of the Ghost songs I´ve heard (admittedly, very few) sort of sounds like a knock-off Blue Öyster Cult to me, which definitely isn´t a sound I was expecting the kids these days to soak up.

BOC I always heard in it as well... a sort of watered down Mercyful Fate meets BOC, especially on Opus.
I've seen them a few times live and they're always more 'metal' then.
I'll be seeing them again this July 14th at the Dynamo Metal Fest.

The satanic shtick is old and tired.... I could care less who started it when.

99.9% of the things we discuss on this forum are old tired and played out anyway.

  Good point.

Sounds like some 60’s pop David Cassidy singer in front of a bad garage metal band. Ugh.

They are super cheesy but for some reason, I'm starting to get into them. Some of their songs are really catchy/fun to listen to, Rats and Square Hammer in particular.

Yeah, that’s kinda the deal. Doesn’t blow you away or anything, but after a couple of listens you find yourself humming the melodies.

I've seen them on festivals at least 5 times, and they are a fun band to watch, songs are catchy, and they do sound good live.
On records. Meh. Live? Yay
The singer has a a unique voice and he is a super nice guy and funny as hell. There is no "Now all you motherfookers go and mosh or we leave", just a unique style of MCing the whole thing.

I have been absolutely in love with them from the beginning. It took me a while for the previous two albums to sink in but after this one, you can hear the culmination and evolution of all their previous efforts, which makes me appreciate Infestissumam and Meliora even more. Fucking fantastic band. Plus, my 8 and 5 year olds love them and want to sing their songs at their singing performances. Much better than them wanting to do Satyricon and Sigh lol

Niiiiice.. so what song was their closer?

Absolutely love them. Just got into them a few months ago and can’t get enough. Love the theatrics, love the music and I love their music videos. I haven’t watched music videos in over a decade. To me, they make music fun again. Seeing them at Ruth Eckard Hall in Clearwater in November for the first time.
