Is the Atomic CLR really worth the price??

Are you still using these and loving them? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a couple wedges.
I am not. I still have them but really don’t use them anymore.
they are not loud enough for the bigger venues we play. For bars and club they work great.
I’m using a set of Mission Gemini 2’s. They are 2x12 powered cabs. I really like them. Gives me that 4x12 cab type volume and punch. And for smaller shows I’ll just bring one and run it in Stereo mode.

So in this case do you run the cab sims off? In other words these Mission Geminis are not FRFR?

FRFR's and powered studio monitors are one and the same.
Two names for the same product.

Yes, ideally speaking, they are the same thing. Practically speaking though, the industry is full of PA-style speakers and stage monitors that are loud and can reproduce roughly the "full range" of frequencies people can hear, but they don't do it very accurately. The CLR's are particularly flat and accurate, like a good pair of studio monitors, and unlike a lot of other PA style speakers or monitors.

Understood. As usual with both types of powered systems there's different levels of quality/performance.

The Atomic stuff is top shelf all the way.
Ever heard of Equator monitors? Short lived company but similar horn loaded coaxial design as the CLR.
