I have a hard time watching. It's all been said. I just fast forward. I find the whole interview process uncomfortable.
At least they get some cool guests.

I am a fan. :D

Some of the best TV in the past few years!

I totally agree. I don't think the hosts could be any more passionate about hard rock/metal music than what they are on the show, at least without it seeming exaggerated or fake.

Hmmmm....lets see.........I love 80's rock, love the bands, love guitars, love the characters and the stories, love spending time on rock guitar forums................but I'll change the T.V. channel to watch Survivor season 42 because I don't like the fat dude answering questions and the guy with the chops doesn't seem excited enough. I don't get it????

I wouldn't say they're not passionate. I think they obviously love the music. What they are is awkward and boring to watch. The Interviews are ok at best. There's just very little fun in this show. I watch it because "I got a Fever" for the Metal and there's just nothing else. The minute something else might come along with some decent ideas I'd watch instead in a second. I do think they improved it this season with more time with guests and less time of them trying to do humorous conversation amongst themselves, because that always falls flat. It sure seems there's less Jennifer too which is sacrilege!

Hey, but at least Jake turned down the gain a little this time...Man, that was tougher to watch than Jamieson trying to be funny.

Watching the 2nd one with Jake playing....Joe Satriani was skyped in....
very cool.
Still better then watching General Hospital.

I can deal with Trunk but Jim and Don just get on my nerves. I wish Don would just go fuck every guy in Type O Negative and get it over with.

Overall I really do enjoy it. There are some 'irks' in it for me....but overall I look forward to watching new episodes.
Like hearing the stories from the guests. The new 'on the spot' questions are really cool.
One of the shows on TV that I look forward to seeing.

He'd have to dig up Pete Steele

Hate to say this and hope its not the case but Jakes playing in this weeks show as well as the last one when observing closely is very "fat fingered" clumsy and uncoordinated in a way much like Jimmy Page got after his heavy addictions. Watch his left hand and the motors skills and coordination just don't seem right for a guy who played ith such strong chops in those other clips in the Ozzy vids. Unless he's seriously out of practice but again when I watched I was looking closely and his technique just looks very awkward, it was kind of hard to watch. Also seems quite out of tune at times too, another trademark I saw in Jimmi's playing too. Not comparing the two other than just that particular observation

He'd probably be into that. He has the worst taste in music IMHO.

Thought Jake's tone was much better this week. Playing was a little better but his chops are still not up to par. Hopefully once he gets back out on the road to support his new album he'll get his chops back. Also, Jake has been out of the scene for quit a while and there was a nasty rumor going around here in Vegas(where he lives) that he had a pretty serious drug addiction for awhile. I'm glad to see him back in the scene and feel confident he'll get his mojo back.

The tone and playing sounded the same to me on the second episode. You guys are aware that they film multiple episodes in the the same day aren't you?

Newbies

They must have moved the mic or something... amp sounded much better this time! Happy to see steve whiteman and brian "damage" forsythe out there!!!

I thought it sounded better for sure. That first episode was terrible. This was more about Jakes playin and less about the tone on this latest episode.

I can't watch it. I speed through the show, and then stop to hear the guest player. Seeing three 40+ year old adolescents dressed up in concert tee's from the 1980's is enough to creep anyone out! The audience is another story altogether... :scared: The term 'heavy metal' alone floods the mind with visions of RJD bantering about in a sheep's wool vest and Claymore... Or was that Joe Elliott?

I think Jake is seriously out of practice. That's pretty obvious by watching him. As far a Page goes, I can only say I saw him on the Page Plant tour in 95 I think it was? He blew my fuckin mind. Sure it wasn't like he was in 1970 but he killed it and owned the stage . The sound of that show still is the most powerful overwhelming thing I've ever experienced.

Yeah Page thankfully got most of it back but there was a period where I noticed this. But you can sit and watch tv and just play and get a lot of your chops back if you haven't played much, I mean if that were me I would have passed on playing on the show if my chops were that out of whack. Out of tune, fat fingered (by this I mean not even fretting notes cleanly and executing your ideas) and sloppy and no cohesive ideas is not the way to promote your new band or album. IMO
