Comparing Britney to Hetfield isn't logical at all. Metallica wasn't a pre-fab industry construct like Britney was.

So is your subjective opinion that a band that is still selling out wherever they play should give it up because you say so.
And success in a given area most certainly does lend weight to one's opinions in that area.
No one would take a virgin's opinion on sex very seriously would they?
(1) Because one should play music for the love of it, not for ££££.
(2) In music, financial success is utterly irrelevant when considering whether or not a band is past it. Again - music is not about money. SelloutallicA may disagree, but that doesn't make it correct. Oh well, I suppose Lars would like the money for his terribly gauche modern art collection...
