I bet all you need to do is long hold the INPUT and select the SPDIF Input.

Keep in mind I'm an idiot......and it may not at all be related to your problem but have you tried the monitoring off on that track?

I believe I tried that but will try again when I get a chance. If monitoring is off, how would I hear it? I'm pretty sure my troubles are all in the Scarlett/reaper settings. I just don't know what the correct settings are.

S/PDIF OUT of the KPA connected to S/PDIF IN of your interface
S/PDIF IN of the KPA connected to S/PDIF OUT of your interface
In PT, once I have my dry track I route the output of that track via S/PDIF OUT. I create and arm another track for recording the wet signal and select S/PDIF IN as the input. Hit record and as it plays through, the reamped signal gets printed to the wet track.

I understand what b you're saying but I don't understand how to route all this stuff. As I said at the top, I basically have always plugged in, armed track 1 and hit record. No routing involved...
Webb":3ghrcthm said:Well routing is the key. I would start by clicking the i/o button on the tracks channel fader. This should bring up available routing options. You should be able to select S/PDIF from there.

BINGO!!! Set the spdif out of the scarlett to Slave.
