If you turn off the bright switches, and turn off the Violence switch, the 2 gain knobs will basically take it down to no signal. It has a huge range of gain.

Thanks, that is awesome!! Some great 38 Special riffs. Definitely sounds like it can do that mid gain. I love high gain but love playing the other stuff too.

I have been thinking about the Killer Kali module but to a minimal degree, I know myself.

I generally buy a module, then figure out how to get it to sound like I want it (which is generally a single channel Plexi that Friedman modded some years ago). When I get there, I decide there is no reason to have another module that does that for $400 so I sell it.

I have a hard time getting some other sound to take root because I am a one trick pony. I played a lot of shows with that kind of sound in a single channel amp with an EQ pedal set for a loss for a cleaner tone or a boost for a dirtier tone.

Still, I'd like to try a KK. Maybe when a used one is $300

What module do you have right now? I really want the JMP but know I'd love the Killer Kali. I know I'd like the Bogner Uberschall module as well.

I think it is great you can be happy with one tone! I'm a Marshall tone guy but love everything from Hendrix Plexi sounds up to Whitesnake super too much gain tones. I love the Cameron Modded Marshall tone.

I heard a great clip of the Killer Kali today and sounded like it could do a great Plexi tone.

Busted out my BE-Dlx for the first time in awhile today. Great sound. I call it my Youthanasia model, lol. It reminds me of that smoother, produced 90's thrash tone when you max the gain.

Remember it also has fat and structure switches inside of it. You can put it in a lower gain mode if you dont want the higher gain stuff it can do.
