You have a new generation of guitar players every decade / correct? Well their was the generation that happened in 1990 wether they be 10 years or 20 year old. They were informed that they didnt really have to be that good and that playing like guitarist from the 80`s was uncool. LOOK where we stand today in rock n roll. A fucking waste land. If you like what`s going great. I personally think it`s gone to Hell in a hand basket.

lol. are you a crusty, old, cock rocker? <banned from RT> cock rock is shit. </banned from RT> compared to the "real" metal that came out of the 80s. this particular example is a natural progression of the riffs laid down by the likes of anthrax, slayer, metallica, megadeth, exodus, coroner, testament, et. al in the early and mid-eighties, IMO.

i'm in my 40s and scoff at the accusations of the "rock and roll wasteland."
    ;)

There is the tale of who`s the best Megadeth or Metallica? I dont give a fuck who sold the most records. I believe Mustaine has made his point through the years, So has Lemmy. Not so much Anthrax Slayer Exodus or Testament. Then the new crew comes in and sounds like rehashed shit. 80`s cock rock? WTF? Where did that come from? All I am stating is my personal opinion. If you dont like it that`s ok.

WTF If your in PLano Texas your in a rock nroll wasteland.

you have no fucking idea! when i hit a music shop it's all lady boys with shaved arms, skinny jeans and mascara.

if you're not a cock rocker, are you a shredder? i like that shit too, but i don't think riffage is dead. not by a long shot. i've learned enough about guitar over the years to write for myself, to write what makes me happy. what rules the airwaves via the corporate music shit machine makes no difference to me whatsoever. i can make my own music. :)

Well good for you. Im shredder/ govt mule / allman bros and then some. Ihave my views on southern rock also. Everyones got their own thinking or at least they should. Its all good.

Hey you were the one making the smart ass joke on a coversation that you thought would be cute. Well I didnt. It`s alright.

Thanks, man. We play Ft. Worth (Ridglea) every once in a while but don't get to Dallas much anymore. Last place we played was Reno's Chop Shop in DE. Hopefully we'll get back in Dallas soon, I always loved playing there. Trees, Curtain, Club, Galaxy...all killer places back in the day.

I'll take you up on that beer and I am always down to talk gear! Same goes if you ever come here.

:) I like the right hand control for sure.
You made it look easy....

Hey Kyle, perhaps you should send your amp to Ola, let him do one of his videos with the amp, then you will definitely have the ultimate showpiece video for your amp.

This vid was literally the first time I ever plugged in to the amp and I am just mucking about playing whatever.

Amp is on the way to me to do a proper clip like what I normally do. :D

Jason, your version of "muchking about playing whatever" is pretty damn good to the rest of us.

Can't wait to hear what you come up with for the studio stuff! Thanks again man.

Progress and evolution happened, just as it always has in rock / metal / etc. Someone who listened to late 70's metal probably looked at bands like Poison and asked the very same questions that you did :)

Crazy right hand, dude. Mine is aching just listening to you do that. Very cool!!!
