LePre with a different tube?

Hey everyone -

Anybody swap the tube out on their LePre (i.e., the LeLead) for a 12AT7? Will it work?

Hi davidbistolas, I know some people did change the tube (on le Bass a 12AY7 to get less distorsion) and we did a lot of tests with 12AX7s but not 12AT7. You should get less gain, if that's what you are after .

Just thought I wolds share. JJ12AU7 in the LePre and it sounds fantastic. The pedal still has lots of gain, but I can now dial it back to alternate-rock levels. What a great piece of kit.
