Admittedly, I disregarded Lichtlaerm initially. I erroneously assumed they were just another hyped new brand. Plus the number of knobs on many of their pedals looked like it would lead me to endless tweaking. However, their Thorn pedal intirgued me, so I decided to pull the trigger on one. Yeah that pedal made me an instant fan, so now I want to try more lol. I've since checked out several other clips of some of their stuff, and I feel like I've been sleeping on this brand.

I just got the King in Yellow today. Haven't used it yet. But I was trying to decide between it and the other one you have. I'd love to know your thoughts on how they compare.

Really transparent and while its more of a klon style it has so many tonal options that I really prefer it to my ts style boosts. Foolishly sold my aesahaettr without giving it enough time with my rig. The amber spyglass eq was fantastic too

Have a Key and Gate and Transcendence. Haven’t gotten a real chance to use the Key and Gate yet but have been using the Transcendence while making pre-pro demos for new songs. Thus far, it’s really been cool and great for layering. Definitely want to try out an As Above So Below as well since I’m doing a lot more ambient guitar lines on new material.
Daniel is a first rate dude and it’s great to have such a competent and kind builder behind such sick gear.

The King In Yellow is a TS type pedal and a great one at that. The 4 EQs help shapes the over tone and feel. There is no tight knob or cut so it behaves the same as typical TS. The Aesahaettr is a clean boost that has the 4 EQ knobs just like The King In Yellow. The Aesahaettr also has the option to bypass the the EQ when using the boost and also allows turning off the boost and just have the EQ engaged. The Cut Knob is as expected in cutting low end out, but you can bring some it back with the EQ, if needed. It is very versatile!!!!

Ok so better question is, what's the difference between a "boost" and a "tube screamer"? My go-to "boost" is the Maxon OD808. I run it with the gain on zero and the level to taste. Usually around 3:00.
I briefly played around with the King in Yellow yesterday, boosting my Granophyre. Same sort of preferences... gain on zero, level around 3:00. Slight cut in the low knob, slight boost in low-mid, the others at noon (flat). Seems like polarity and blend are only for the loop? Clipping switch seems to make a very small difference. Center being very close to how the 808 sounds and to the right is a little more clear. But otherwise, I don't notice a huge difference in sound compared to the 808, albeit the King in Yellow has that EQ to make it more flexible.
Just wondering if the Aesahaettr is worth trying out or if it's more of the same?

Alright, I've tried both of these now. I prefer the Aesahaettr. I just don't need the King Yellow's features with the loop and blend and all that. The Aesahaettr's switchable EQ is more useful and the boost w/cut control lets you dial in the perfect amount of low-end. My go-to has been the 808 lately, but this one might replace it because I can get it to sound similar, just tighter. And with the switchable EQ, I can get two boost sounds—one with more grind and one with more low-mid growl.
