Neil Young, while a good (maybe great) songwriter, is a total shit guitarplayer. I hate his 'solos' with a passion.

Bob Dylan has a more whiney voice than Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) and Noel Gallagher (Oasis) combined.

'The Razor's Edge' was the 3rd best AC/DC album ever.

'Criminally Insane' reduces 'Reign in Blood' from A+ to A- status.

'Soldier of Fortune' was one of Loudness' best albums.

+1 on the Lady Gaga being an actual capable and talented artist (ever checked her stint with the Rolling Stones and compared it to Trailer Shit's? )

+1 on Joe Walsh being even better outside the Eagles.
 
Have we moved onto TV/Film yet?...

-The few Star Wars films I saw were overrated pieces of shit...like a half step above the Power Rangers
-Malcolm Reynolds was the best tv character ever
-Ben Afflect is an excellent actor
-The curvy, latin woman on Modern Family needs to realize she has no talent and disappear from the public eye
-Note to big budget directors/producers...the set can never be a "character itself." Now get a better writer.
-Shaking the shit out of the camera while filming does not improve the story
 
The band Big Wreck is completely overrated. Someone here posted what they considered a killer sounding song and playing and while it wasn't 100% shit, it wasn't what I'd consider good. :lol: :LOL:
 
My last thought..

Most people on this forum talk alot of shit and cannot back anything up with their playing.

Some have clips and are good, most do not and simply talk shit.

REZA... well, you say ACDC's bassist sucks, your band sucks a million times worse dude. :thumbsup:

Your welcome. At the moment, I am not in one at my own choice. The ones I were in sounded great.

your playing isn't the topic, but you make it anyhow.

The classic, seize the opportune time to showcase self worth and gain pity routine is too scripted from you and has become much too often.

BUT, off topic. you have made me realize that I don't have enough distorted playing vids.

I must admit though, I'm not the best guitarist in the world.

It's an unpopular opinion thread.....there's nowhere that says you have to qualify for anything to have an opinion. Says the whole way thru, judgment free zone, but motherfuckers always have to make shit personal.

For the record, I've always really enjoyed Reza's demos and don't understand why the guy gets shit on but hey....if YOUR vid is what qualifies as good tone/playing? I've heard equal or better from him for years.

I don't get why people think you have to be an expert in something to have an opinion about it. I'm not a weed expert anymore, but I don't like it and my dislike is based on personal experience. Same goes for AC/DC, glam rock, Nuno and a bunch of other shit mentioned ITT.

Quit with the butthurt comments because someone says something you disagree with. Read the shit or don't and move on, I really don't see why you have to take it personally. It's a fun read and a place for people to vent some ideas, no need to get all fired up.
 
Unpopular music opinion:

Reza's band is solid and his review clips are also solid.
 
There's way too much negativity and bickering going on in this forum lately. I used to teach 7th grade. The behavior here reminds me a lot of how those kids would bicker. We really need to turn this around. All of us.
 
If Electric Poo Poo is the best he can come up with, it sure sounds like Reza is stuck in 2nd grade, never mind 7th.
 
Reza's band is fine, I was being a not nice individual. His playing was never the question.

He did the video comparison thing of me and himself, my vids are almost all improv on the spot, not rehearsed or second takes.

If it sucks, so be it. Each time is different and I prefer it like that.

Anyway, I have been inspired by rezamatix and his unique signatures of his.

I have made my own in his honor as well.

lets get back to topic shall we.

This was a great thread before it got derailed

Watching two people have an argument on the internet is like watching two retards have a slap fight minus all the technique, strategy, and class.

People that get sucked into extended back and forths are generally narcissists

Pearl Jam's only good album was "Ten".
 
- The tone quality between a $100 amp and a a $800 amp is night and day, the tone quality between a $800 amp and a $2000 amp is ball sack hair thin

- The Kramer Nightswan is a good looking guitar

- The TS808 is crap, put it infront of any good amp and your sucking the tone out before it even hits the amp.

- 90s was like the hang over of the 80s, no one was on top form musically

- I like shred, I can listen to it for long periods of time

- Kip Winger is talented, he writes great classical pieces for ballets and that is the most metal thing a man can do.

- Film, tape and tubes will always look/sound the best
 
I like new Metallica and think Kirk Hammett plays a-ok on the two songs they have released.
 
Amps like the Deizel VH4 are way overpriced, do not live up to the hype, and have nothing on the classic fire breather of the 5150 for 1/4th the cost.

The new Metallica vid on Howard Stern shows how much the VH4 sucks,
