trust me dude im a hardcore emg user myself and i HATE passives for my metal tones, i tried this duncan super v and it blew me away....it doesnt have that weak sound or feeling like passives have for high gain stuff, it sounds pretty massive
it actually feels just like an emg 81, it has the tightness and punch of an emg with the warmth and dynamics of a passive
i did a vid to compare both the 81 and the super v in maple bodied guitars, they sound almost identical
check it out
i play my m1 tiger first which has the super v in it, than i play my kamikaze which has the emg 81

FWIW, I tried the Bare Knuckle pick-ups and hated them..... Just not my thing.
thanks man, that helped alot i like the overall sound of the super v lots of saturation there and pretty similiar to the emg,.. the emg is cleaner with a touch more sharpness , but the super v is definatly a consideration how is it for solo tonesBig Rich":3mhus2ua said:SEYMOUR DUNCAN SUPER V !!!

They might not do exactly the same as the passives, but you can get single coil sounds etc.

Let us know how that goes. I'm curious to know what an Aldrich sounds like in a PRS.nighttrain69":2k97udjy said:thanks man, thats interesting, i picked up a aldridge bridge , ill give that a shot a see whats the next move, maybe ill love it
