Looking to buy new amp - Carvin Legacy or Egnater Renegade?

I liked the Renegade...found the Legacy kind of stiff and flat sounding, although it did well when set clean with the OD coming from a pedal.

I had an amp tech tell me that the internal components of Carvin amps were absolute garbage and that they clearly weren't designed with road reliability in mind. Anybody heard/seen anything similar?

I had a V3 that worked no problem for the complete time I had it. In fact, it had fallen off the cab onto a hard wood floor once, and still worked perfectly! So I think they make reliable amps. Hung out on the carvin forum for a time, and if I remember correctly, I rarely heard of problems with their amps.
