Died about 2mn in. Bad preamp tube it turns out. Messaged him a few xs post receipt about it and not a peep, so be careful if you ever have an issue.

He gets back to me very quickly and I know he does not respond to IM\Emails on Mondays. Be patient, he is known to be responsive.

I'm pairing this up with a Crown Power Base II (Yes it's solid state) and a few other goodies through 4-JCM 800-1960 B Cabs and you would not believe what this thing can do on 2.5 - 3! OMG . . . .
It's like riding a 40 foot high wave off the coast of Hawaii - Chills and Shiverz every time.
It just doesn't get old. I run home from work to play this thing every day.
Just got all the MIDI implementation set with the 3 processors and this is just a one button wonder now.
Piece of heaven as far as I'm concerned. Thank you Wiseblood for turning me on to this builder!

I really can't decide which of the two - superlead fish preamp-would suit my best just for old school 80s or 90s metal. I would be running either through my Mesa boogie mark 3 and to record directly through my torpedo cab...

I set it about 4.5. Around 6 it starts getting liquid saturated, and that is cool but I play thrash.
No boost straight into power amp and cab.

Yeah it des have a ton of gain.. I actually was interested in what I could do to lower the gain some. I play with the gain on 4. Would be great to add a switch to it to throw the gain down a bit..
