I was underwhelmed with the RF (going into a Marshall). Liked the Koko, original Guv'nor, and TS better

Exactly my take when I played one as well. It seemed congested in the mids to me without clarity. My SRB OD808 smoked it, I also think the Seymour Duncan 805 and a a good 808 is better but again YMMV, I like the idea of the extra boost for the OD channel of the pedal.

I remember having one some years back. The rocket fuel seem to add a certain thickness that I really wasn’t looking for so down the road it went

I still have one of the limited edition ones.

It's not a boost that will tighten up your tone like a SD-1 or TS will do. That thickness, like you mentioned, even on the lowest bass toggle setting, didn't work for me as well.

I prefer my SD-1w as a boost.

This thread made me dig my OnFloorAudio boost out and i gotta say, it is a great sounding OD. It is mid focused but still thick enough to fill out the sound. It also has a really nice fast attack to the sound. Great OD for a Marshall. I might leave it on the board again.

You aren't wrong ..I could easily play through just about any OD and be happy. When it comes to OD there are two categories.

1. Really don't like it
2. Like it enough - love it now- best ever - back to trying more.
