Finally got around to checking it out and getting it rack mounted. Bought it off FleaBay as a combo and ordered a Mesa rack mount for it. Got it swapped over yesterday and played for a bit. Jayzuz, what a pounding the walls took with this amp. I thought the Mark III put out, but this one is slightly more over the edge. Probably the 105 transformer has a little to do with it. It is an HRG chassis and S/N 13634. 100/60 watt, no Simulclass. Here's a few phone camera shots...

Nice!

The only thing I'd suggest would be having it converted to Simul-Class, then it would be the "Holy Grail" of II C+'s (assuming it has Reverb?). My friend has one and it sounds amazing. Congrats! :D

I wouldn't bother. I had 2 non-simulclass IIC+'s and they sounded every bit as good as the loaded one's.

Sweet! I need to get one of these again. I never should have sold mine.

It had a reverb pan in the combo shell. I am not much on reverb in the amp and deal with that in the FOH if needed. Left it in the shell and didn't put it with the rack.

I had got tired of waiting for the Simulclass grail to come along, so I settled for this one. As Dan says, most cannot tell much difference. Maybe there is though. This fecker here though screams bloody murder as it is!

Nice, I love my Mark III.

Mark III is a bone crusher too. Every bit as much raw goods as the IIC+ at a little less than half the price. Mine is a Red Stripe and it romps. I would imagine a Mark III black stripe with the 105 trannie would be close to the IIC+.

The IIC+ seems a little more compressed and more grit with the same settings at lower volumes. I haven't A/B'd them yet. I run them with the EQ in all the time in a V, Volume about 7, Lead Drive about 7, Lead Master 4 and Master around 2.5 to 3 and thing just oozes so much thump that you can feel it in the chest with every palm mute.

It was just recently in Mesa Hollywood before I bought it. All new Mesa tubes in it. I haven't been on a tube swapping mission yet. I am sure that will change things up a bit.

I really want to get a II C+ one of these days to compare to my III coliseum.

Congrats on buying a IIC+. What a great amp. Actually in the process of selling mine right now. I loved it but Fortin Cali modded Marshall GAS took over. Can't wait and figure I can always pickup a IV or III down the road. Good luck with it!

Nice - I also have a fully loaded red-stripe Mark III head, and it kills. At the risk of sounding like Charlton Heston, it will be "pried from my cold, dead hands"! The one thing I can say about the Simul-Class mod - at least in the case of the MK III, it sounds waaaaay less harsh, and more pleasing to the ear IMO than the 60 or 100 watt circuit. My buddy thought my Simul Mark III sounded so much better than his (albeit green-stripe) 100-watt in an A/B test (same settings and identical cabs) that he sent his to the Mesa factory and had Mike B. convert it to the exact red-stripe/Simul circuit. When he got it back we did the same test setup and then ran them in stereo...holy crap...

The only II C+ I've ever heard extensively is Simul-Class as well...amazing sounding amp.
