I can see them dropping them, in England, where Marshall are made, funnily enough, eveyone buys Marshall cabs used (including myself)

Those who want to splash out cash on a new cabinet usually spend the extra cash on a Mesa, Orange etc etc.

If this is the case, maybe Marshall wanted to bring out a higher end cabinet to compete in the new cabs market with the brands I mentioned. Let's be honest, they're good cabinets, but there are much better cabinets for the cash and they're so cheap used that it's not really (imo) worth buying a new one at more than twice the price.

Lets face facts, there are plenty of things Marshall should be doing. Have something built to modern specs would be a nice addition to the classic 1960 series.
They had the ModeFour cabs. They were a modern sounding/design cab. Theyre kinda hard to find used now.

There was one at My local GC for 450$ It had V30's. It sounded pretty good.

I went through a period of time where I had a B-52, Mesa, Orange, and Marshall cabs in short order. I still have a Marshall. In my mind, nothing can replace them. Just my ears though - others love different cabs, but Marshall is what sounds "right" to me.

This. Marshall style 4x12 FTW. Although I think my Bogner shells are great too.

And that is also why I dig StoneAge 4x12 cabs so much. They're like a Marshall done right, with some design improvements. They have the marshall dimensions, sound, punch, knock, look, etc., but with strong steel handles bolted on with locking nuts, tough steel jackplates, great wiring, better construction, birch ply backboards, way better soundposts, etc etc. They're in the marshall vein and nail that sound, but with better tightness and clarity, no buzzes, no rattles, no bs.
