Recently I considers getting a 2205 because I miss the Marshalls I owned in the 80s.
However, I have winced moved on to amps that in my mind do a nodded Marshall thing better than anything I
could get out of my old Marshalls. I find I get all the Marshall like tones or modded Marshall tones with my 20th Bogner Shiva with EL34s
and my PWE Event Horizon. When I crank my PWE with the band and we play some old Rush, some VH or even Pearl Jam, it sounds so old Marshall, it gives me goosebumps, plus I have a lot more tones available. With my Shiva and Event Horizon I feel I can get Plexi to JCM 800 to modern Marshall and even the darker Billy Howerdell Marshall tones.
