Alright guys... This is my first post so I expect to catch some heat but I don't really care much
Anyway, I've been looking into the possibility of selling my Framus Cobra and replacing it with a Marshall JVM410H. The reason for this is the Cobra simply isn't satisfying my ear anymore. I love it and it sounds great but as with all guitarists I am on a constant quest for that perfect tone. When I bought the Cobra I was playing predominantly metal (The Acacia Strain, Bury Your Dead, Emmure etc) whatever sub-genre you want to throw those into go for it... It's still metal lol! But now, I have moved to a style more in the realm of Stone Sour, Alice in Chains etc. Stuff that has a good heavy tone but also can get a little bluesy. I just could never find a happy medium with the Framus for that.
I have been to a local guitar center 2 days the past week and paired the JVM through a Mesa cab (which is what I use) as well as found a guitar with a Seymour JB which is what I tend to use more often than not with my Les Paul and Strats. Every mode on every channel just sounds absolutely fantastic to me but I have been hearing good and bad about the amp and am not sure who to believe...
Does anyone here have one? Are they really as good as I think they are from my brief trials in GC? Can I still get nasty heavy with the amp in a low drop tuning to play what I use to with the Framus if I wanted to and sound good or does the amp struggle with that?
One of the big things that has my eye on this amp is the fact that everything is Midi addressable and the fact that I use a GCP and GCX switching system for the few pedals etc that I do use.
I appreciate all and any feedback from users!
Thanks Guys!
