Hi, there.

I have just recorded this video to show how the loop works in the SC20 (JCM800 20W).
We know there is a HUGE volume drop when using the loop at low volumes... But it get's normalized as you increase volume, and not everybody know that.

Anyway... I tested Volumes 1 - 2 - 3 - 5 - 7 - 8 and 10.

Recorded with Gain at 7 and all EQ at 5.
Looks like after Volume 5 there is no much difference in volume.
And tone is about the same.

I wonder if the techs wasn't bothered about it when they are conceiving the amp...
Because every guitar player will.

I sent mine back because of that loop volume drop. Thanks for posting.
Well... That's not as bad as it looks like. There is a volume drop in lower volumes, but as it's not a footswitchable loop, so you wont turn on/off in a live situation. You just set it as you like, and that's it.
The most important to me is that it's not a loop that kills your tone.
Actually, for me there is no problem.... It's definitely a keeper.
