Dude needs to realize, it's the middle of summer and people actually have lives. Playing out, family, work, etc. This place has its busy streaks and maybe right now isn't one of them, but I see no reason to come in here and be a douche bag like this.

Hey man, no reason to go out in a blaze of glory and get permanently banned. Maybe we are a couple of weeks or months away from a return to form for Rig Talk? It seems more often than not I come on here and am just not that interested in the current threads, but I hold out hope that something cool can fire this place up again. I have met probably 15-20 different Rig Talkers in person and almost to a man, they have been very cool. I've even formed some legit friednships with some of these guys. Hey, it can happen

That's the way I've been feeling lately too...just holdin' out hope as well.

I am surprised by this. OP is a nice guy and it seems out of character for him to do what just went down. I am going to contact him and make sure he is ok.

Yup, plenty of cool lads here even though it's slow, but it's Summer time and some of us like to go out and enjoy the weather. Like others have said, it sounds like an account hack. I was gong to tell him that Splawn amps suck, if that didn't get a reaction then it's probably someone on his account.

Looks like Headless has had bad feelings toward the forum/Brad for awhile... previous post:

I agree, this place has changed alot since Brad took over. Seems alot of Cameron/Brad nut hugging goes on but oh well.
I personally wouldn't own ANYTHING with Camerons' name on it no matter how great it sounded. I'll stick with what I have and continue to play more than post.

Whether or not someone agrees with Brad's Cameron move shouldn't detract from Rig-Talk's great vibe. Brad is cool and lets a lot of shit fly in this place that wouldn't fly in other forums.

It's a slow time of year. No biggie. I always take a little bit of a backseat during the summer months. I run and bike a lot and much prefer to do them during the summer than the winter. Either way, it ebbs and flows like any other forum. Be patient, it will work out.

Ya, this did seem kinda outta character for the OP... But you know, stranger things have happened. My guess is there's a lot of noticeable stress in the world nowadays; a lot of political and financial uncertainty. Typically the news is awash with negativity and doubt, and all the avenues of interest are waning. It affects people in ways they can't always understand. It's times like these I know Kirk Hammett will come to the rescue. He's out there, somewhere, making things right with his wah.

I get bored with forums all the time and think I'm done. And then later-on (for whatever reason), I drift back in and am interested in the current subject matter. But to give a big "FU" to the site owner/admin and other posters just to create some drama? Now THAT is what's LAME! Cause it makes total sense to insult a guy who gives you something FREE to pass your time with.

Either drunk posting or someone who just felt the need to add some drama to his life. Either way... LAME.

I have wondered this too. But it just seems strange to me that so many of the long timers are getting tired of the forum all around the same time after so many years of forum use. The last 12-18 months I'd say the voluntary drop off by so many cool forum members is what bums me out. And I see some of them on other forums or Facebook so it's not like they have seen the light and all decided to go outside and play. And talking gear is still one of my favorite things to do. It seems like this is the place to do that.

There's an ebb & flow to every forum. New people join, the OG's complain about how it was better before. They tend to take on a life of their own. Usually morphing into something even the people who started them didn't necessarily envision or want, but that's just the interwebs for you.

I just never understood the egotism of the grand exit.
There's a few forums I don't visit anymore for various reasons. Don't go back if you don't like it, but the virtual suicide threads like headlessheadguy started is boring. I like this place. And there's a strong liklihood that one day I won't. There won't be a thread about it though. Just sayin'.
