Sounds killer, man. I slave my SG++ through my Blue Stripe Coliseum and the results are horrifying.
That's a very important question. I really like how his HRX sounds. What do you like better, your SRGX or your HRX? Nice clips dude!
He's got good clips of both. Hard to say which one sounds better??That's a very important question. I really like how his HRX sounds.
60watts are aggressive as hell man. I’ve tried most IIC+ Models available. And “S” are the most aggressive of them all. They are dry, they have percussive tightness that makes the gremlins run and hide. Best amps for chugs, for lead work the DRG with 105 would definitely do the trick. The HRX got something that even without eq sounds really really good.
Another question regarding Mesa Mark amps is... 60 vs 100/SIMUL .. which is more tight?
The 100 watters aren't simulclass. The Simulclass Mark IIC+'s are 75 watts. They draw 60 watts from the inner pair and 15 watts from the outer pair if I'm correct?? They have a less stiff attack and almost a 3d kinda feel to them vs the 60 and 100 watters. The simulclass Marks are great for lead playing. The HRX got something that even without eq sounds really really good.

So as far as your question goes, the 60 and 100 watt models probably have equal tightness, while the simulclass would feel a little bit looser because of the outer pair of tubes breaking up a little earlier.
Thx man! To be honest, I haven't made up my mind yet lol Maybe it's just me but the HRX sounds ballsier but the SRGX is more aggressive - crunchier. I will eventually keep one and sell the other one. What do you like better, your SRGX or your HRX? Nice clips dude!
hahaha epic commentdo you bring a security guard with you when you bring those amps out?!
sounds killer!
Yes that's right. I had one and it rocked hard! To me it sounded like a mark III meets the mark IV rev A but the tone was definitely more in your face not so refined.I guess 85 watts are Mark III green's or Mark IV? due to the Pentode mode. am I right?
I want to try a 60 watt IIC+!
Well the 2C+ has some magic thing going on I can't quite explain - the note separation / the harmonics and the aggressiveness cannot be matchedHow do you compare the Green you owned with any of your IIC+? Would you say the difference is big?
yes granted you use a parametric or graphic eq . I might be selling my 100 watts soon if you are interested PMWould you recommend a 60watt noneq for very aggressive music?
IIC+ have a clarity and a sound that engulf you, it has the perfect balance of aggression without sounding harsh or brittle like some III could easily sound. I can’t speak for all the IIIs but the III that I own is an early black stripe modded to ++ from MikeB and that’s modded to sound closest to the IIC+ without the harshness of the III. Aggressive little fuckerHow do you compare the Green you owned with any of your IIC+? Would you say the difference is big?
Aggressiveness on tap. And the clarity must be insane.Sounds killer, man. I slave my SG++ through my Blue Stripe Coliseum and the results are horrifying.
100% if you use some sort of eq on the loop. That’s a must for Mesa.Would you recommend a 60watt noneq for very aggressive music?
