This one rack space unit can switch up to four pre-amplifiers/heads with a common instrument signal connected to its input. It produces a Mono output which can be connected to an FX rack or simply a power amp. All four of the "amp loops" are each buffered with an all analog Jensen matching transformer to prevent unwanted ground paths and ensure tonal purity.
The loops are controlled via four 1/4" jacks mounted on the rear panel. They are connected to latching relays which can be activated by most any standard tip to ground switch. This unit was designed to be used with TriAxis...MESA Engineering's all tube programmable pre-amplifier. This one space pre-amp provides four function switchjacks that can be activated under MIDI program.
This is an ideal way to combine four pre-amps and heads for the ultimate in control and versatility.
It is also possible to activate the amp loops simultaneously and combine the different amps for added sounds.
