Since I purchased my Mesa Boogie Roadster head a few years ago I've been dealing with channels 1 and 2 dropping out after the amp has been on for a period of time. I've had the amp in to an authorized Mesa repair service center, who "claimed" to have fixed the problem. The amp is under warranty, however shipping is not covered. And I'm not too keen on sending my amp all the way to California and it being gone for god knows how long.
Has anyone else had this problem. I'll describe in more detail.
Show up to the gig. Set up my rig. Play through the set using all 4 channels then after a period of time switching from channels 3/4 back to 1/2 there is no sound. The only thing I can do to temporarily fix it is to turn the amp completely off, wait, and then back on again to get channels 1/2 to work again. I've tried changing the power tubes, and the pre-amp tubes. Changing the order of the pre-amp tubes. Manually switching the channels. I've even tried running a fan to cool the inside of the amp thinking that it was somehow overheating. Mesa has nothing, and I've yet to find any fix for it. Someone please help me!!!
