Yeah and why is the cab mic'd up if they are going DI? For this to be meaningful IMO they should have put a 57 on the cab and then switched between the CC and the mic. This is how I auditioned any of my DI boxes to see which sounds best. By itself with post eq ect. this demo is meaningless.

looks like a great option. i can't drop 7$ on a 2nTl.....the mesa cab clone would be exactly what i need at my current gear budget.

Exactly what I thought too. These demos are a waste of time if you can't A/B the "real" mic with the simulated one. I would do that and then show both the mic and direct clip in context with some reverb/delay. This way you could hear it dry and wet and see if it fit your needs. But alone like this, it either sounds like a mic placement that I would absolutely NOT use for recording or not that impressive at all. I really don't have a reference point from which to make a decision. It is such a basic comparison that it really boggles my mind that more companies wouldn't figure that this is probably the most important demo they can make.

Seems like a good solution for live use, but as previously mentioned, like to hear a comparison to micing an amp that isnt done by Mesa. Not to mention, the official demo wasnt great, but would be practical for live use.

True on the Mesa Demos. I have one on order. Can't wait to try it out!

Folks, can i use it - board-> cab clone-> PA speakers to plug my guitar directly to the house?
Also does it load down a tube head?

The CabClone is connected from the speaker output jack on your amp. With its built-in load you can use it without a speaker cabinet, and use either the DI with cab simulation, or the 1/4" Line Out with non-compensated signal - and also for Silent Practice vias headphones. You can also use the CabClone for Thru Recording - still using the DI out and Line Out - but with a live cab. Thanks!

Man... Sounds like the answer to run english amp beast at church!
