It's a very good thing. Right up there with destroying small villages and melting faces. They're all in the Top Three of Awesome. In all seriousness, the Joyo Classic OD is basically a TS/OD808 clone. True bypass and all! A great sounding pedal in front of the recto and its variants, and at that price it shouldn't be overlooked.

I was going to recommend the Maxon OD-820 but that thing just turned a recto into pure sex! Buy that instead.

Boss Metal Zone, that pedal is great for pushing a dual or triple rectifier into really aggressive death metal territory. The typical setting for the pedal is Level - cranked (or close to), EQ section- all at noon, drive - off. just works as a signal booster, a very aggressive, edgy signal boost. Works for Cannibal Corpse. I use one occasionally for my amps and I can attest to it's effectiveness.
