It looks very nice, but again, with no EFX loop, its a deal breaker for me personally. I can understand about an amp being primarily used for pedals into clean having no loop, but not a gainer.
The whole metal lunch box look of the tiny Terror, nightrain and transAtlantic has been around for a long time. Check out this 1950's Masco MA-50 PA amp (I am restoring one).
And as far as adding an effects loop. You shouldn't have to do that for a $900 amp for 2010, IMO.
Agreed...probably lost half their sales right there.
Amps with anything over mid gain in the preamp (these days) should automatically have an effects loop.
They should have installed a loop that can be switched right out of the circuit.
I don't know, I really wasn't impressed with the Transatlantic at all. I plugged it in for a few minutes and I felt like there was really nothing more for me that I liked.
No effects loop = will never try it. Same reason I very quickly sold the VHT Deliverance I had here a few weeks ago. That amp sounded AMAZING... but not having an effects loop is just a stupid fucking idea and completely ruined the amp for me. I was tempted to install one myself but decided against it.
I thought from that clip it sounded pretty cool... Then I went to thomann.de to see what the best price in Europe would be... Euro 1139!!!
They are on crack!!!
