Kerry King is the worst guitarist to come out of the whole thrash genre IMO. He makes Kirk look like Paul Gilbert.

Not so brother... If you research it.. Mustaine, Hetfield, Holt.. all looked at K.K. as the best in the area.. He has one of the best right hands in the business. Period.

The vocals are way up front like someone else said and need some effect like someone else said also. WAY too dry! It probably wouldnt sound nearly as bad if they did something with the vocals like that. Do I think his voice is pretty wasted?............yeah, that too.

I agree, I think that the vocal production sucks but overall, the tune wasnt terrible. That wah tone sucked ass though, if thats his sig wah, he should find another one...

You're right Mike, maybe I should've been more specific, I was just speaking in terms of lead playing only. His rhythm playing is fine, I just think you'd have a hard time naming a thrash guitarist whose solos were consistently worse than Kerry King's. Maybe those other guys were being a bit too modest.

I still dig Slayer, just have to kind of day dream my way through some of those solos

They announced they were playing at an old prison in Denmark in June. They sold out (40.000) in 33 minutes at app. $150 a pop.

They must be doing Something right.

I don't quite get it... Are you referring to 6.000 as in when banks post reports and numbers are in increments of 1000?
