While I may not post here much, I have been a member for years. I probably come here once a week and lurk the threads. There are some cool guys here like Steve who is a master builder. (Aircraft terminals on that Cherry Bomb wow), and Brad of course. I apologize to everyone for my part in the back and forth. That's not something I'm very proud of, and out of character for me.

I also apologize personally to you Nitro for comparing you to a turd that won't flush. Everyone can see from your awesome posts, that you are obviously nothing like that.

I'm so glad Metroamp was restored.

I was "Permanently Banned" banned from the Metro Forum very recently. Never ONCE did Metro Forum get in touch with me to tell me why. I couldn't even view old threads, and I'd never heard of such a thing however, everytime I wanted to read any thread, out comes the "Permanent Banner". I thought any forum that is so tactless deserves to have all of its members to go south permanently. I don't know if it was Mighty Mike and I don't particularly care. I do know that for a businessman George projects immaturity as when you have difficulties with people like Chris Merren and Mark "Rockstah" Abrahamian you DON'T bring it to work with you or in this case translate that (hate/anger/angst/whatever) into your forum. Not only is it childish and immature, it's unprofessional as hell. And I truly hope that members really start thinking about all the little things that DON'T add up f.e. "Why can't I type Chris Merren's name in my post at Metro" and certain other names, and Mighty Mike's response of "We really loved Mark Abrahamian" yes you loved him so much that you banned him and told him to get his own forum. MM, you really expect logical critical thinking people to accept that load of horseshit? Maybe others, but not me.

The problem with people nowadays is "The dumbing down of America" Oh George has got the best kits, George has got the best Wiki, George builds the best Marshall clone, George's members can help me put together kits, etc. These people have permanent blinders on and will never entertain the fact that the Metro Forum is anything but stellar. More power to Metro as they're going to need it when all the advertisers, supporters, members catch wind of what's REALLY going on. Too bad, so sad.

I signed up on the Rig Talk forum to specifically respond to this thread topic. What I'm hearing is mostly Metro Amp butt kissers and arsehole lickers. I could care less about the name calling and slandering. I'm a truth teller even when the truth is not in fashion. The best way to solve this issue is to start a thread asking all banned Metro Forum members to post their 2 cents worth about what they really think about the Metro Forum. I'd like to see Magic Mike defend his "defenseless" position then. However since this forum is owned by George's buddy maybe we need to start that thread on another "neutral" forum to remove all doubt entirely. Even a numbers poll to see exactly how many X Metro members have been booted would be rather "enlightening". Speaking of enlightening, when I was on the Metro forum I was never called on the carpet ever, MM and George never had to say one word to me which is another point of conjecture as well.

I have no idea who you are, and why you were banned very recently. If you were banned without warning, or just cause, there must have been a glitch. That doesn't make sense,. We don't ban people for no reason. Since you are being very public about everything but your username, it's hard to fully understand your personal situation. Feel free to pm me, and I can look into it discreetly out of repect for your privacy. Maybe your banning was a mistake, and I can help.

Regarding personal situations: There's a lot of personal things, behind the scenes that we don't share publicly when a member is banned. We keep these things private because they aren't anyone's business. This is especially true after someone has passed. It's easy to pass judgement from the outside looking in, without all the information, and feel you are owed an answer, or that something has to be defended to your satisfaction because it doesn't make sense to you.. With all due respect, that's just not the case.

Metroamp is a private business, with a private membership. A forum is not a Democracy. It''s like a house, with house rules that best suit its purpose. Each member is like a house guest. House guests have been removed if they spam, attack or steal from other house guests, or constantly say idiotic things just to cause trouble, drive away members, and advertisers. That would be 99.9999% of the people who have been banned.

You are free to spend good money to open your Island of Misfit Toys forum, and try to make a profit. It would actually be funny to watch this free for all. Like a bag full of cats.

I'm not saying you are like this, but it's funny to specualte what kind of advertisers a bat shit crazy forum like that would have : Drug Rehab Facilities, Mental Health facilities, Vaginal Sand removal contractors, and remedial writing courses.

Good luck getting the banned spamers to fork out for advertising. They make up 99% of the banned.

I decided to take a look at the Metro forum with nitro's previous posts. Apparently his last one was in April, 2011.
Nitro, ok a couple of facts.

1) You were the 3rd post on this thread with "who cares" as your post. IMO, you struck first with the negativity, correct?

2) Your last post on the Metro forum was April 21, 2011. So you've been gone for under three years, not the time frame you claimed.

Yes,The problem is people tend to believe Ed and how he achieved his tone(van halen 1 tone),they believe that what Ed sez is what we should stick with,which is a big mistake,they dont think outside the box and they dont use there ears,thats where experiance comes into play,if you believe Ed and how he achieved his tone on van halen 1 and many people have tried the equipment that Ed used and the results are not there well then there is something missing,if you have been playing for along time and have listened to many amps especially plexis(I have) and recordings then you should be able to know what would be missing in your sound.Experiment with many amps,effects,pickups,cabs,speakers.

3) I read through four pages of your posts (around 100 plus). Never once do you post anything about specific gear you need to sound like VH1. The post above is the closest you get to it.

4) Of the four pages of posts I read, roughly 50% of them are arguing with other members, calling them names and talking down to them.

It seems you got banned for flaming other members, which is consistent with what rgorke, mighty mike and others on this thread have stated about you. Not trying to be a dick, but since I don't know you, I felt I should research your past posts. This is what I found.

Jim is right and I got the same treatment on Mark's forum (Rockstah) whenever there is any slight potential to probe and find out exactly what such VH1 "pedal" is, there is a tirade of condescending comments. I have no beef with nitro other than his attacking when many many many people disagree with his tale of what Jose told him. Most posts discuss his purported mistreatment on Metro. Sorry that Rigtalk is getting the brunt of this.

It appears that carly and nitro are proving the points with out others raising them.

I'm not fond of carlygtr, he knows it, I know it. We've had words. I'm also not going to naysay this comment, because he's correct on this one.

Scott suspended me for something TA Weber posted a couple of years back. When I saw I was suspended, I PM'd the mods. According to them, Scott felt I baited TA Weber into posting something inflammatory, or derogatory. And to make it look fair to TA Weber, they suspended me as a show of "equality" or some lame thing like that. I was told that TA threatened legal action against the TGP if I wasn't suspended as well. TA Weber got a six month suspension, I got a one week suspension.

So when I finally met Scott Peterson in person at the LA AMP Show last October, he was introduced to me, and the tension in the room was thick enough you could cut it with a machete, and I mean that, literally.

Someone had to be the bigger man, and I decided to be that guy by saying "Hey Scott, nice to meet you! Can I please bait TA Weber into another post so I can get suspended again?" Then I laughed and stuck out my hand to shake his.

Everyone laughed...Scott, too.

You can't hang onto this shit, folks. You either really move on and say "Screw it, life is too short." or you stalk people on the internet forever because you have unresolved issues and no life outside of a forum.

I think many people who get banned think it was without merit. I don't. I freely admit that I pushed the limits/boundaries with TA Weber on the TGP and he responded with an attack with such vitriolic venom that he got banned for it. I understand why the TGP suspended me from their point of view.

It is their house, their rules, you're just a guest. There is no free speech on a privately funded forum. Forget your 1st Amendment rights, and all that crap. If you want to be the guy who has the last word, feel free to start your own forum and be a mod/admin. We'll see how long your forum puts up with trolls, argumentative members and downright miscreants with no life off of their keyboards before you ban them, too.

If some of this sounds like it hits home, then it's probably time to rethink your posts from any and everyone's point of view before you hit the submit button.

PS to carlygtr: This post in no way makes me feel any warmer and fuzzier about a lot of stuff you post. But I'm also the guy who can say "He may be a PITA on lots of stuff, but this time he's right on the money." in spite of any past words we've had online and off via email.

What shots? I quoted you accurately. I looked up over 100 of your posts, read them, digested them and stated what I thought was why you have a bad rep on the Metro forum. You call other posters names within the first three words (sheep follower, etc) of a reply to them to make a condescending post back to them. If you think that's acceptable posting then fine, but you can't expect them to take you seriously while calling them names, can you?

The fact is that you were the third post on this thread. You responded negatively, and it's only gotten more negative. That's accurate, right? Then you obviously have issues with mightymike, rgorke, Azazel, and others on the Metro forum as evidenced by three year old posts and again on this thread.

If you think I've taken shots at you, you're wrong. I knew nothing of your posts before I did a search this morning on the Metro forum and from reading your posts on this thread. What I've done is come from a neutral point of view and done some reading. If I've stated something incorrectly tell me what it is, and if you've got proof otherwise, I'll edit or delete my post content for anything inaccurate.
