Obviously can't buy them new, but wondering if folks still like these. I love old Marshall cabs and haven't been fond of any of the oversized Recto cabs I've used. Afterburner seems like it'd lean ways from the Marshall cabs I like and more towards the Rectos that I don't. Accurate assumption?

And don't ask why I'm looking at an Afterburner if I already know what kind of cabs I like. I can't help myself.

Picky cabs in that certain amps sound amazing through them, others not so much. Conversely, everything sounds great through my Bogner cabs. And despite having similar dimensions to Mesa oversized cabs, Mills tone is very midrangey and upfront, almost honky compared to the scooped nature of the Mesa OS.

I love my Mills cabs. Sold two Bogner Uber cabs when I first played them side by side and replaced them with the Mills. I'm using Scumbacks in my Mills now though. I like them alot more than the stock v30s.

Thanks guys. This would be with a JCM 800 2204 and a Triple Recto, though if I'm honest I have a constant carrousel of amps moving through my hands. Cabinets tend to hang around for a long time because they are so hard to sell. If the Mills is picky about amps, that's not good for me.

I've played a Bogner slant 4x12 that was awesome. The best non-vintage Marshall cab I've played through.

I love my afterburner.

Have it loaded with x pattern g12k 100 and g1265

Crushing.

Not a vintage sounding cab.

Tight instead of flubby compared with my mesa os recto
Fuller sounding than my front loaded vht cab.
More modern sounding than my bogner cab.
