Has anyone upgraded a stock marshall 4x12 with Metal Handles? I bought them and went to put them in and sure enough looks like I have to make a slight modification to make the hole bigger. Shouldn't be too bad but just looking for any best practices so I don't screw it up. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I had to do the exact same thing because as you say the metal handles don't quite fit the normal cabs. I had my drummer help me with a dremel and then I sealed it with weather stripping, I still have that cap but got a handwired one that slays it... one other thing to note. The handles I got also had more screw holes and the routing on the marshall cab made me have to screw them in sideway at an angle to find wood to bite.

Not only will you have to enlarge the hole some, but one of the screw holes falls right on top of the half moon cut out. I actually filled that area on the cabs I am recovering.

If you can wait a couple of weeks, Jim (Scumback) is having some direct replacement handles made.
