Monomyth Unholy Grail

Could also be unflattering mic placement in general. Trying to take a picture of a specific piece of air can really give a very weird reflection of reality. Like taking a zoomed in picture of a singular rock and trying use it to show someone what it’s like being at the Grand Canyon.
Now THAT was the post of the fucking century man.
Word up on the level💯

Judging mono isolated guitar tracks is a lost cause. The way Ola England and Keith Merrow used to do videos back in the day where they showed it isolated mono play through, stereo mix, isolated stereo, with and without post processing and a few other flavors is a lot better - using timestamps to quickly A/B

I bet the tone Reza gets would cut in a mix - or be easy to work with in a mix but it’s still just a hunch…

New video up!

Jason has immense talent to make a toaster sound good. Killer riffs too.

The amp sounds like it’s all top end. Now granted I like top end too but the solo notes sounded very thin and tinny. That’s the hard part - bright but full

I’m sure it’s a great amp for some! I prefer @FourT6and2 ‘s recent design lately though comparatively.

I tend to really like mids so it sounds really good to me. Shea said this one is a bit more mid focused with less clipping and more tube saturation. I run V30s so im hoping it isn't too much.

Got a mills 4x12 running V30s and Neo creams and a KSR 2x12 with a V30/redback. Will report back when the amp ships

The heavy is all rumble and peaky top end to me. Not feeling it on any single note stuff. Rock settings sound over filtered and too tight. Doesn’t breath. Makes sense with what Jason said at the end about the design in relation to dumping bass in the front end. I like some squish and give and take with picking attack, so designs like this where all the low end comes at the end are not my cup of tea. Need that low end affecting the way the amp saturates. Definitely a very modern sound. I like my heavy a lot more vintage.

I can appreciate how good these amps sound, but could he come up with less juvenile names for these options? It's on the "Brown Eye", "Hairy Brown Eye" and "Fisted Sister" levels.. It's like something a higher-schooler into Star Wars would get into. If I were spending that kind of dough, I'd just get one of the new modified Marshalls, or an MGL and call it a day.
I mean….your screensname….🤷‍♂️

I thought the neo creams sounded good in random speaker comparisons I’ve been doing involving other models. Anticipating your feedback once your amp lands.

The neo creams are a bit quieter so you don't hear them as well over the V30 but ill mic them both up with a 57 and post it whenever I get the amp. The creams are kind of a mix between the m65 and h75 but slightly more nasally.
