Nope. I'll buy you a beer if you can prove all that as written ??So, yeah?
My research is.
They only used a Boogie with a Marshall JCM800 as a poweramp for Kirk on some solos for recording of MOP.
The rest is all just Boogies according to Flemming. There is no mention in the MOP notes of any Marshall use. Almost all the notes are referring to rhythm and melody guitars and it's never mentioned once. It would have been pretty important to include that special technique if it was done I would think as it would make a big difference to the outcome.
He only notes that they took signal from the fx send to quad level to B&B EQF1 to quad level then back to Amp to get the outboard eq to work with the amp loop. On AJFA they used Boogies with Boogie power amps. It's all in the notes. Yes to Marshall cabs.
He noted of the Boogie power amp use on the AJFA notes, but omitted to annotate the speculated Rhythm guitar Marshall slaving on MOP?
I don't believe so.
There is a big thread with Flemming talking about the album on Gearspace.
He starts posting on post#14.
Post #28 is where he starts explaining his notes.
Post #53 he talks about the Marshall slaving, this is probably where the info came from.... but, this contradicts the studio notes and check post #243.
Post #173 he discusses the 3 albums he produced and what was used.
Post#243 he clarifies the Marshall amp use.
Here is the whole thread -> https://gearspace.com/board/so-much...4-condenser-mic-identification-metallica.html
Here is actual post #243 with Flemming confirming it.
Here are the notes from the MOP sessions

Here are the notes from the AJFA sessions.
The photos at the end show Kirks rig - JCM800 and a IIC+ (Lead A) on top of a rack with James two IIC+ heads. There is a rack to the left of those that has a Poweramp in it, I presume a Strategy 400.

NineshallDie beat me to the punch
I also think the RTL Marshall/s were only on loan. From what I've read they needed to find a Marshall in Denmark as James' original Jose had been stolen just before the sessions. They tried as many amps as they could get their hands on and settled on the one/ones they eventually used. I don't think they kept the amp/s.
The set up amp in this pictures is a JMP old style head shell. Kirk's JCM800 as seen in the MOP tour pics and AJFA sessions is the newer style head. There is another Marshall on the ground behind this amp also in the pic.
Kirks rig.
This is James' rig. Nowwww.... interestingly there is a Marshall in the rack below. Is he now slaving into that?... was it all a secret during the recording sessions?... I don't think so, but my guess would be that perhaps he used it also to blend with the boogies, or maybe a last ditch back up? I really don't know about that one. More to ponder.
