that's what the US / NATO planned to do with Ukraine; Poland and Romania already have missile defense systems that can be easily converted to offensive use including tactical nukes.
US is allowed to have national security issues in Ukraine, 10,000 miles away, yet Russia can't have existential security concerns on its' own border?

Like the civilians living in Donetsk and Luhansk wanted, while their own government's azov nazis shelled their homes, schools, hospitals, businesses, towns for 8 years while Germany, France and Ukraine pretended to negotiate with Russia in the Minsk agreements only to recently admit it was ruse to buy Ukraine more time to arm itself; passed laws making them second class citizens in their own country (like nazis did in the past),
guess if they wanted to live a safe, happy life, they should have made sure others in their country could too.
