Woke up early and rested today. Felt like messing around and with the recent post about lunchbox heads and what not decided to use my PRS MT15. My only experience with lunchbox heads is this amp, a Pink Taco and I tried Orange Dark Terror once. The MT15 had the most balls like a bigger amp for sure

FUCK YAH! I'll be listen to this all day tomorrow while working.

Bad ass! Didn't sound like a small amp. My only suggestion would be to push the drums/cymbals back and bring guitar forward but for morning fuckery I know I could never do this so hats off mate.

Thanks dude. Thanks for the input. I put about a good 15 minutes at a loud volume into mixing and I started to get ear fatigue and just left it   Just curious what you were listening to it on (phone/laptop/tablet)? I need to start referencing mixes on other devices, eventually my goal is to to record full length songs and do some kind of digital release... one day :D

Sorry I wasn't more-specific, brother.

I listen on a shitty CrapMac NoBass™ mono speaker in my 2012 cheese grater. Can't hear anything below about 300Hz and it's really-quiet too, so try not to make too many judgements on it.

It does sound bloody-good 'though. Well-mixed, it would seem.

Agreed. That being said, this is the best PRS MT 15 clip I've heard to date, including mic'd clips. I've come close to buying this amp myself but most clips have a sort of a garbage-y looseness to them. This tone, on the other hand, is really tight and focused. It's gotta be that V30 Ownhammer. I bet an actual V30 loaded cab would be a great match for this amp. Well done!

So errrrl - I hate to even crit your stuff because it is so damn good. Seriously.

I hope you don't mind my little comments. You do seem very open to suggestions and I believe you appreciate the feedback. I could never do anything like what you do so it is mad props to you all the way around.

I did go ahead and listen using my phone and then through headphones+laptop and it sounded much more balanced. For reference:

Laptop- medium grade HP 360 2n1, not the greatest speakers. = Percussion was a little too much.
Laptop + Skullcandy over ear headphones = much better
Smartphone - Blackberry KeyONE, decent stereo speakers = much better, esp. given what it is. Actually, know that I think about it, my phone handled that clip very well given the amount of 'bass' frequencies.

But for reference, I usually listen to clips via the laptop's speaker so if I say something like 'Percussion was a bit much' that is just relative to other clips using the same medium.

Excellent work. Love your type of riff styles and jams. I'd pay $15-$20 easy for 20-30 minutes of this stuff, no lyrics just bad assed riffage.

Me too, no doubt about that.

Thanks Monkey Man! You description of "CrapMac NoBass™ mono speaker in my 2012 cheese grater" had me scratching my head for a sec   Then the coffee kicked in

Thanks DBN! You know the MT15 is great for what it is but honestly I think you are getting way better tones with your current amp collection + SUhr RL. Also I just realized this amp went up in price since release. I got mine for $649 but noticed they now sell for $729...

Thanks man! I appreciate your input man  I've had others chime in that my drums are a little too much the mix and I think you guys are right   I play drums in a band so I probably do put a bit more emphasis on drums than most but ultimately I'd like to have balanced mixes so hearing everyone's opinions is a good thing  Thanks for taking the time to chime in!

I haven't checked online prices recently but as of a month ago my local shop had one for $600, so with tax it would be close to what you paid for yours. Too bad they raised the price but it's still worth it. I'd take it over a lot of amps that cost two or three times as much.

Looking forward to more Suhr RL/Ownhammer clips with the MT 15!
