Most brutal amp

It's hard to put stock into a lot of this seeing how it's mostly speculation. I'm willing to bet there are only a handful of people on earth who have played either the Natas or the FBM. How many people have played them both? Not very many. Claiming an amp to be the most "brutal" not ever having played it sounds pretty stupid to me.

VHT/Fryette Ultra Lead :D w/GEQ

I'm gonna second that! But only because it's the brootal amp that I personally have exerience with (and own). In reality, I'm sure there are much more brutal amps out there...

The uber has a shitpile o gain but I wouldn't exactly consider it brutal!

You are crazy! The Uber is easily one of the most brutal sounding metal amps ever created. Tons of great death metal albums recorded on that amp.
Maybe I am crazy, but I thought the uber was about as tight as jenna jameson.. granted if you totally scoop out the mids/tone then it tightens up, which I guess is pretty appropriate for death metal.

Your right, and I have not played a NATAS.

Herbert is great and is loud as shit.
No worries. My second vote goes to the NATAS from what little I've heard of it.

Haha yeah, some of the aspects of the FBM in particular seem to be pretty speculative at this point, aside from a few teasers here and there. Some better than others. Overall, I dig what I hear so far.. Hard. Good point though. I've never hooked up to one. But I'm down. Just that guy, I guess.

My Bones could do heavy, but I cannot

I think of 80's/90's death metal bands when it comes to the "most brutal" sound. Some Swedish bands were extremely heavy back then. Entombed on "Left hand path" used a Boss HM2 pedal into a Peavey amp (Bandit?). A lot of bands were using distortion pedals into Marshalls. Another example, Bolt Thrower still use (I believe) a Marshall 9010 power amp with Boss GX700 effects units to get their sound. Nile use modded Marshall DSL's. A distortion pedal (modded or not) into a Peavey 5150 or an old Marshall will get you the most "brutal amp". Depends on what your taste is, obviously. Without any pedals, I would say Engl Powerball.

I always thought of brutal as super scooped with too much low end, so I will go with either an ENGL SE or Framus Cobra.

FWIW, the Natas is dominating, not brutal. Tight low end (shitloads of it) with actual musical midrange that sits in a mix right and let's the bass player be heard.

Pffffffffffftttttt. Blasphemy.

Fuck the bass player. He needs a better rig if he gets drowned out by my assloads of bottom end. :D

FWIW I do use a shit ton of mids with my assloads of bottom end. Not that you care or that it matters.

I think the only people who have played both the FBM and the Natas are Ola, Jocke, and Jason Killertone... regardless, I think my opinion is relatively clear.

I have some very awesome clips you'll be hearing in the neat future.

I was very impressed with Ola's raw unprocessed video clip of the Natas

The bones simply kills too me, and can do brootz, no problem. Then again I'm biased :D
I'm working on getting a zoom Q3 at that point I can post some proper clips and you can be the judge.

To me, brutal means gain, saturation, tightness and low-end.
I'd have to go with the ENGL SE.

+1

but make mine the Engl SE EL34.
