JetCity JCA20H due to lack of that clean channel of the first edition.

Did you not know it didn't have a clean channel?

I love these threads. It;s interesting that just about every amp on the planet sucks to somebody.

Off course!! but i didn't know that i need a clean channel so bad due to new songs.

You're so funny Schaf!!

Single rectifier 50, BBE sonic maximizer , Boss HM2 , Peterson strobostomp, mxr supercomp.

I'd have to say the H & K Tubemeister 18, I had the combo about a month and returned it. I couldn't dig the "hi-fi" (aka. dry) H&K clean tone, hated the inter-dependent EQ that seemed to do little to nothing, and its lead channel just wasn't metal enough for my taste: it was okay for rock tones, but in the end it wasn't versatile enough for what I wanted in an amp, turned out I like 50W+ amps that go from clean to mean. I've also been reading it sounds quite different to each person, some have gone as far as replacing the transformers and other mods to improve the tone... all that hassle over a $500 amp wasn't for me. Definitely user error on my part putting so much faith in clips.

Sperzel locking tuners. they SUCK!

No way! Really? I have them in both my guitars. I dunno what I'd do without them.

I like 'em. People complain about their ratio, but that doesn't bother me, and they are pretty stable.

Washburn N4.
Was it a USA model? What year?

I own a wide variety of gits and my two 91 Davies N4's rank up there with my favorites and are very enjoyable to play.

I too like Sperzels.

My crappy letdown purchase was a Behringer GMX1200 half stack. Sounded terrible but the upshot was that it was heavy as hell too. Oh wait, that's not an upshot.

Finally decided to cut my losses and flip it after playing an outdoor gig and not being able to get it loud enough. It looked like it should have been a lot louder than it was. Ah to be young and dumb again.

Suhr Guthrie Govan for me. Sounded way too thin and brittle to my ears, and didn't do heavy stuff well. Shame, because in every other way it was an excellent guitar. Can anyone recommend a beefier Suhr? I've got my eye on a black Modern Frost :)

For me it´s the Marshall Powerbrake. I knew it wouldn´t work well for heavy attenuation, but it started sucking as soon as it did anything.

I've got a suhr modern custom to a similar spec as the GG. It's got the GG profile neck, mahogany body & blower switch. No Tremol-No & I have Aldrich Pups rather than the medium output pickups in his guitar. I guess with Govan, there's so much character in his technique that he prefers guitars & amps that don't disguise all of his playing subtleties. The cornford amp he was using was notoriously unforgiving.
I find my Suhr to be pretty woody-sounding, even with the high output pickups. A lot of the other superstrats on the market sound a bit clinical in comparison.
I've come to really love the guitar. My only fault with it is the cutaway doesn't feel extreme enough for my hands. Beautiful looking guitar, but a 24 fret guitar is built for solo playing. I have some problems playing notes on the deeper strings at the higher register. I had considered trading her in for a Vigier or a JP, which are both far better players guitars, but neither are any way near as stunning as the Suhr customs in my opinion.

Absolutely love mine, jumbo frets and a higher action have been quite a revelation for me

Yamaha DG80 modeling amp. It sucked, but had a celestion g12h in it, so I used it as a cab for other amps for some time. Bought it cause my guitar teacher used Yamaha preamp of the same kind, but he plugged it in tube power amp.

Krank Rev Jr - my first and worst experience with low wattage amps.

For sure, it was really woody and I loved that for lower gain playing and lead playing. But for heavy rhythm work I found it lacking. Perhaps I should have just installed some C-Bombs
