Does anyone have any experience with the Torque humbucker? I was originally looking at the Solution set for my EBMM Petrucci. Wade said it should work great but also recommended the Torque as well. I am looking for a pickup that will work well in a basswood body and give tight percussive palm mutes. I have a Marshall JCM800 Fortin Cali mod on the way and will be playing a pretty diverse set of music (modern metal/rock, 80s metal/rock). The guitar has a Dimarzio Steve's Special and Ar Norton loaded right now. I was originally looking at the Dimarzio Crunch Lab/LiquiFire set but I want to get away from your typical Petrucci tones. I am also looking at a BKP Miracle Man set but I have been reading so many great things about Wade and Motor City. I really respect the players here and would like some direction if possible.

Thanks guys!

I have a Solution and it will do everything you described, no prob. Have not played a Torque.

Jerry at Luxxtone really knows pickups, you should shoot him a PM.

Thanks guys! The Solution is the way I am leaning but Wade's description sounds intriguing. The Torque is classified as a more vintage voiced pickup but he describes it as though it can handle tight palm mutes and gain with ease.

Thanks James. I have been e-mailing back and forth a bit with Jerry. He has been great so far.

Any other suggestions?
