Paul is amazing though tone on last couple albums has to be ignored. Music and songs are still amazingly good.

I wish Paul would ditch this pedal for all the distortion philosophy and go back to decent full size amps. He still plays like a maniac, but the tone sounds like a kids practice setup in the 90s.

I think it's affected his playing. Amps can track a lot faster than a pedal setup for high gain and force more from you to do it. He also downplays playing fast all the time because he says so many go for speed before they're ready for it but he himself has forgot the passion behind the fast notes....

I just don't feel the fire in that video or the song. Might as well have been some AI generated version. Was like a limp dick version of Colorado Bulldog.

This! Although to me the best tone he ever had was back in the Racer X days with the Lee Jackson modded Marshalls. The snarl and aggression of those tones are unmatched

I liked him with his Racer X modded Marshalls, with his preamps, with his Laneys, with his Marshall Vintage Modern, with his 2061x. All of it was great. For done reason in recent years he decided to use overdrive pedals as his main gain tone. It sounds exactly like that. Maybe he’s trying to protect his hearing. Don’t know.

Agree with all the above statements. Paul is a monster and seems like one of the nicest all around guy, like you could take a lesson from him and not feel like a POS.
