That 800 is killer. I’m having a face plate with grey lettering just like that made for this JMP.

Nah. Leave it along.

But that 800 looks bad ass too.

Just needs leaner, sharper shaped knobs and possibly a green or purple jewel light. Maybe blacked out toggle switches and input jacks. Still looks good as is. I would hook it up with a black EVH cab.

Is there a chrome Marshall logo available? Or a convincing chrome paint? For something like a Harley themed head. Chrome pointy knobs/etc. That could look cool.

Thanks, Shea... I went with a black logo at first. But it was too dark. Gray was just right.

I went ahead and replaced the grill cloth on my 72’ Marshall cab today. The original was beat and torn. I used large checker cloth and deleted the piping. I think it matches the head so much better now...

That amp looks great! If you have a spare, paint the Marshall logo on the cab to match the head, that will make it even badder.

Good suggestions on blacked out switch rings and smaller knobs. I did both today.

I think a blue indicator light would also look great as mentioned above.

Here’s an updated pic. Added a purple LED indicator light from a Vintage Modern Marshall. It’s a easy install. Direct replacement, but you’ll need to insert a resistor between the power and LED so it wont blow. I used 470 ohm.

What is that?!?!?!

This is an amp I originally modded and sold to Jeremy, it’s demoed on Reza’s channel, he modified himself to add different options, he’s the only person I’ve ever offered help to because I knew he was competent and safe to do so.

This is correct. This was a Monomyth Black Sun 1974 Super Lead. Shea has been awesome with helping me to alter the amp to my specific needs. He took a lot of time and effort to explain the basics of modding and how things work. I’m very grateful for the knowledge he’s shared with me.

I essentially built upon his design to get where I wanted with it. It’s still got the Monomyth DNA at higher gain levels, no doubt. With his guidance, I learned a ton about working on these amps and have since modded my own JCM800 from stock to a fairly high gain, great sounding amp with some cool options. I still know about 2% of a real amp builder, but I know a lot more than I used to and have become a lot more self sufficient.

For reference, this is what this amp used to look like:

That’s nice of you to say but you were well equipped with safety and knowledge before that amp landed, I’m stoked it stayed home, a cool story and more to add. Best.
