Yep...

I've heard questionable reviews too, but EVERY time I've heard one live, it's killed!
I heard Reb Beach's OD-100 and it was just awesome!

Kw

The reason why you are hearing mixed reviews is because there are multiple mods done on some of the amps and most of the guys whose tones have been mentioned are boosting the amp with some sort of pedal.
Reb is boosting his Od-100 with a boost pedal and So is landau and Henderson.

Yep! There is the Standard, the Standard Plus, SE, SE+, Classic and Classic Plus and all of those can be made with either a 50 or 100 watt power section. There are also some Standard and SE models with the SH mod to the clean channel. They're definitely not cutting it any slack with the different variations they have out there.

The EL34 versions with the Plexi OT have been getting a lot more of the rave reviews.

Oh yeah!! Congrats on the amp Dale!!!

Thanks! I played around with it some more last night and it's definitely going to be a keeper. I just love how all of the knobs actually do something to the overall tone. Then, the Depth/Density (whatever it's called) knob actually works. The Feedback knob is pretty cool as well. If you turn the Feedback knob all the way off, it softens the tone for more of a vintage, old-school feel. If you turn it up, the amp starts responding more like a JCM 800 type of thing. It still sounds huge.

Can you do some clips Dale? I'd love to hear this version!

I'll try to get with my buddy who has some recording equipment. It might be in a couple of weeks though.

I just retubed the front end of the preamp. I stuck a RFT in V1 and an EH in V2. Definitely made a difference for the better opposed to the JJ in V1 and the stock Chinese in V2.

If you get a chance to play the Classic or Classic Plus, do it. You may like it. It's more of a vintage Marshall voicing, but it can definitely get up there in the gain department.

I'm actually pretty sure I'd like the Classic. I never like the clips/vids of the other OD100s on the gain channel but pretty much like all the Classic clips/vids, even the Landau-clips on the site. I'm just afraid to get hit hard by GAS, I can't afford one and I don't want to sell my Masotti or so
