The video was recorded with the guitar straight to the amp?... sounds so tight that makes me think it has some tube screamer variant in front of it. Anyways sounds awesome, loved the Low End on that thing tight and imposing

Yeah man good point, I forgot to add that. I boost everything, lol. I was using a mesa flux, level about 2:00, gain about 8:00. I don't use it for gain, but I love what it does to the feel of certain amps. It really brings out the swirling midrange grind this amp has too, but keeps the lowend nice and articulate. Wasn't sure how a boost would work with this amp, as a lot of amps with this much gain and saturation just get smeared IME, but this amp seems to love it. Thanks for the comments

I have never been much of a Diezel fan, but that Dmoll sounds totally ripping. I love the clarity and tightness in your clip. I need to try a Dmoll for myself.

+ 1 !

i think i would love this amp, im sure someday i will own one.

I've had a lot of amps come & go, but D-Moll may be my forever amp
Awesome tones, great flexibility, insane clarity and punch...
I love you D-Moll :inlove:

Hey thanks for the comments guys, glad you liked the clip. The amp really isn't hard to dial either, it's a fun amp to check out.

Ya know man, when I first got mine, it had the original kt77, and they must have been pushed pretty hard. The lettering on them almost looked brown, rather than the bright red Jj normally are. The amp sounded kind of muddy and dull too. I put in some new 6ca7 I had lying around, and the amp woke right up. Seems very sensitive to what's in the power section. My friend Tom on here plays out with his dmoll, and hasn't mentioned any problems. I think he's using gold lion kt77.

You kinda remind me of Tremonti a bit.
Hey, thanks man. I am nowhere near his league as a player, but I really dig his playing/writing, and appreciate the compliment.

Diezel and Engl in a mix, was that a Savage 120 wasn't sure by the silver panel. I thought they mixed quite well there from that recording source, warm and chunky but with a nice edge for muting and without treble taking your head off. :)

I'm listening on really cheap pc speakers though.

NP. He's probably my favorite player/songwriter overall. Been with him since My Own Prison. He's improved a wee bit since those days :)

AB was in Dallas last night and i had to work

My other guitarist in that vid is using a Fireball 100 and a front load XXL Engl cab.

I really dig my D-Moll. It's been getting a lot of live use and has performed flawlessly for me. It was a touch dark for my taste when I got it so I put Gold Lion KT77's in it (as Erock stated). I also put 9th gen Chinese in all the preamp positions. It really brought it to a level I am happy with. It cuts just fine for me in a live situation. It's definitely a keeper for me. My last Diezel was a Herbert and it was great but this D-Moll is just more open/raw and cuts better than the Herbie.

In the vid I was using Ch2 with no mid cut. As Eric stated, Ch2 is the fucking cat's meow.

One other thing to mention is that I REALLY prefer the front load cabs with this amp. It brings it together, nice and tight. My Mills Acoustics is a close second. I realize the Mills is rear loaded but that cab sounds like nothing else imo. D-Moll is just better suited for front load and maybe that's part of the reason why people may not get along with them. YMMV.

I agree with many things you are saying,
The D-Moll has earned a Spot amongst the Elite!
Lot's have come and gone but the Mighty
D-Moll just keeps Delivering. I changed the
Pre-Amp Tubes to my Favorite RUBY 12AX7AC5 HG+
and it really woke up the Midrange Qualities
of the Amp, with NO Noise at all.
I also use ENGL PRO 4X12 Front Loaded Cab's
with Celestion V30's @ 8 ohms, for a Tone
that just makes me smile, every time I plug in.

Wonder how it would sound paired up with that Twin Jet next to it.... \:D/

I couldn't help but chuckle at the basement insulation on the walls it's all over my videos as well.
Haha, didn't see this Tom, yeah man, my whole basement has that crap all over it. Now that you mention it, I do remember the same thing in your vids, lol. Its tone paper man! Your vids always sound killer, that must be what it is.

The uber does sound pretty good with it. Surprisingly, the budda is no slouch either, I was pleasantly surprised with that amp!

Sounds raw. Great clip Eric!!
Thanks brother! The playing isn't on the level of guys like you or Jim, but I think it sounds pretty good for a zoom vid.

So I see you're still rocking the Kemper. Has it really killed all amp gas?

Lol, you are an awesome player! I wish I had your metal chops.

You know, it really has. I only think about guitars now (other than a Henning Cherry Bomb). I am super satisfied with the tones and it's fun to play different styles of guitars to get all the flavors I want.

Thanks man. That's pretty awesome, I've been waiting to see how many of the hardcore amp guys switched, and stayed with it. I'm seeing friends of mine keep theirs for over a year, which is longer than any amps I've seen them own, lol. It must be pretty killer. The cherry bomb is on my radar too, lol.
