So do guys usually find an amp on ebay UK an have it shipped to him or they they ship from US to him? He just sent me his mod list

I found an amp I liked on eBay.uk and sent money to Dan to buy it.

What was shipping from the UK to you?

Over $200 with insurance.

Congrats! I’ve had in the past a Gower Killer Kali ++ and Rockmonster as well! Nice amps!

I also agree about the Driftwood Puprle Nightmare. I wasn’t impressed with it either and the Rockmonster I owned at the time blew it away along with others I had at the same time like the Wizard MC I had then
How did the gower stack up to the wizard? Did it sound as huge and punchy?

The Wizards (had a ‘96 MC, still have a 2016 MTL) are definitely punchier, harder hitting amps (hard to beat Wizards there) and also sounded bigger, more open, but I’ve got plenty of other amps that sound even bigger than my Wizard. The 2 Gower’s I’ve had (Rockmonster & KK++) had more growl, warmth, better mids, more compression, gain, juicier, easier to play feel, not as hard texture to the notes like Wizards. IMO very different strengths and weakness in wizards vs Gower’s (or other modded Marshall’s in general)

Honestly, I felt the Cameron modded Marshall’s I had at the time were just better in every way so I sold the Gower’s after those AB comparisons, but I also sold all the Cameron mods I had because of other stuff I got later on. Just have still a CCV for Cameron stuff

I would love to play your amps. Especially that purple face. You did say that you leave that to me in your will, correct? So little chance I outlive you...

Haha I am younger than the guys I know here. The Purpleface I’m not sure if it would be your thing or not. It’s an awesome amp, definitely up there for me, but not imo a brutal or very metal amp. It sounds sorta like a cross of my ‘89 SLO and Cameron modded Marshall’s I’ve had in the past. Perfect for the ‘80’s stuff that a lotta guys here are into, but I wouldn’t really use for stuff heavier than maybe the 2nd Metallica album. It is probably the rarest amp I’ve had. All the others I’ve got you can find other guys on here that had them
