Holy smokes what an amazing amplifier. I really can’t believe how good the tone is out of this little thing. It’s like the black album in a box. If you are or have been on the fence about one of these don’t hesitate. I’m sort of speechless. And for what it’s worth, I’ve owned every mark series amp out there except the IIC++. Huge tight bottom end.

The Mark V 25 is a really cool amp. It killed alot of my gas and I actually sold my Mark III.
What cab/speaker are you using with it? Ive had great results with a EV loaded theile cab and a closed back V30 cab.
Happy new amp day

Mesa Horizontal 2 x 12 V30s. Thanks!

It’s a great amp. When I had one, I changed out V1 to a C8 and it opened up the amp more.

Sounds Interesting

I've heard these and the Mark V 35 sound better than their big brother. I don't know what Plini records with but he allegedly uses these smaller Mark V amps and some of his tones are really good.

Its been a few years since I've owned a Mark Series amp but based on memory I think it sounds better. Stunned really. I owned a 20/20 poweramp years ago and it had zero balls because of the EL 84s. Well let me tell you they solved that mystery.

There's a cool green one with a 1x12 on TGP. Are these loud enough to play with a drummer? And if already at that loud drummer volume is there any headroom left for a solo boost?

I have one in blue Bronco with a matching 2x12 vertical cab. Love it. Great, great amp.

I have one as well as the Rectoverb 25. I blend them and honestly, it’s one of the best tones I’ve ever had. I use to blend a Mark IV and a Racktifier and I contend that the 25 watters sounds better.

I've owned it 3 diiferent times. Sold it because I had a Mark IV and could cover all my Mesa tones with the AX8 and call them up with no knob turning. The crunch and clean clean being on the same channel hurts the amp. I would like to own it again. Killer sound in such a small package. It is loud as hell too. I dimed it through a 4x12 and it was so loud it made me dizzy.

I have one of these and made the mistake of trading up to the full size Mark V. People think I am crazy when I say the 25 watter just flat out sounds better. Its more what I think a Mark series should be giving you v the full size one. Ultimately ended up landing on the Mark IV, though. I did run it through a Power Station, though, because I felt the low end was kinda week on the 25 watt, but that fixed all my issues with it. I also ran it through a Thiele cab, and I think those cabs are just not for me. I had a sealed 112 cab that I got off ebay that sounded a million times better.

All but the acoustic in this was Mark V 25, power station, sealed cheapie 112 cab, Mesa V30, sm57.

I've owned 3 as well and think they're incredible amplifiers. I'm more into Marshall style amps at the moment, but for modern high gain- those Mark 25s are the jam.

I agree that it sounds better than the Mark V 90.

I just bought a 35 and it is a crazy good amp. Honestly, it took me a bit to get my Mesa legs under me again as I haven't owned one in awhile. I have a 5150III 50 watt and Friedman JJ and EQing those two compared to the Mesa is very different. (Not to mention they are all tonally very different) I have a widebody 1X12 coming too which I think will only add to the awesomeness of the 35 =D.
