Been on a real terror the last 6 Months buying and trading amps, had been relatively gasless for the last couple years with only a couple amp purchases. Don't think I have ever even done a New Amp Day post. This one is a dandy and thought I would make a thread and post a clip. Traded John4021 my Helios 100 for this 2008 Metropoulos 12,000 and it showed up last Thursday. What an absolute monster of an amp and holy shit is it loud cranked without an attenuator lol!

It sounds so ACDC it just begs you to try some ACDC riffs even if you have no idea how to play them lol, playing is somewhat sloppy but oh well I had just got it, and it takes awhile to get used to a 100 watt plexi   It's hard to tame this beast and it feels like you are playing a guitar strung with the thick cable they use to secure huge cell towers to the ground :D

Updated; I have a used 100 Watt Metro Friedman Plexi incoming right after Christmas and looking forward to how it compares to this one. It is supposed to be more geared to getting the early EVH tone. They came with Sozo caps originally but this is serial number #2 and had old mustard caps installed intstead. Got a killer deal on it and am pretty excited.

A real monster of an amp. I've had a real '68 and a Metro - simply awesome beasts.

Sounds great. If you're in the market for a new attenuater, I just picked up the Fryette Power Station and can't recommend it enough. It's by far the best attenuater I've ever used. It's got great features and will allow you to add a transparent loop to all those amps without.

^ This. Allows me to add a great loop to my JMP with no tone loss.

Thanks that first LP (loaded with low output Wizz pickups) I had plugged in did not have near as much balls as the second LP, they sounded way different for sure plus the second one was tuned in E flat. Actually those guitars are replicas as well   1980 Tokai LS80 and 2002 Navigator.

I have a Fryette Power Station ordered that is due to get here Tuesday.

Will do, I can't wait till it gets here. I don't think I have seen one person say a bad thing about it. Even Don Barzini raved about it over at TGP when the first ones hit the street
In the Meantime the Alex attenuator is working pretty good and also having fun using the line out to reamp to the effects out other amps to throw in some delay. The reamping actually works quite well and I suppose that is basically what the power station is doing as well.

That amp sounds KICK ASS!

Thanks Chubtone, I seem to remember some clips you have with a 72 super lead that were awesome!

Nice LP Freak, I can't speak for your Germino and the purple Metropoulos has no ppimv but the 50 watt plexi above it in the vid has one on the back and while it's decent if you crank it up past noon there is just no comparison to the tone you get when cranking these without the aid of the mv. It's not even like it's the same amp ymmv.

When you crank the LarMar MV its out of the circuit. To be honest, my amp sounds best with the MV at about 2-3 o'clock and then attenuating it with the PS.
