I just wish the damn thing wasn't so damn ugly - color-wise. I'm probably gonna have to spray paint it black. lol
Boosts are one of those things that are super gig/player dependent, so there are a ton of wildly disparate opinions; but I have to admit, the goofy color scheme turned me off of the 805.

Wait till you see the shit storm posting I put up for Matt.
(Dont want to keep hijacking his Deliverance video)

Here is a random question. I like you, have heard things that make me think the 60 watt version would appeal to me more. However, I always have bad luck with less than 100 watts not punching enough. Now I know that the Great Tonedig has taught us that 1 wattt can punch with our 100 watt amps, but How does it feel for you? Do you feel like you are missing anything. Does it feel weak? It damn sure isn't missing any low end...

Mhenson, can I fit my drum set in that
Amityville jam room? Lmk.
Oh, I've been meaning to ask you dude,
do you have any open back cabinets?
Reason I ask is, with those angular walls behind
those beefy 4X12's..that might have a rad
"secret chamber" guiding the soundwaves coming out the ass end.
F'n BLORT!, you a Stanhope fan?

Dude, you're always holdin' the champions.
No turds allowed up in that room!

Curious to see what mhenson42 thinks, but like many, I always opt for 100w over 50w. I've owned several D60s, OG and series II, and have to say it's one of the most thumping amps out there regardless how many tubes it has. My first D60 would thump almost as hard and move similar air as the 100w MCII.

I was playing it one day wound up a little while sitting in front of the 412 with earplugs and the percussive force that thumped you was insane. It rattled loose two out of three light bulbs mounted horizontally in the vanity fixture in the bathroom adjacent the room I was playing in to the point they unscrewed and smashed on the floor. My wife came home and asked what the hell happened in the bathroom and it took me a second to realize why the bulbs lay smashed all over the floor.

It thumps...hard...promise.

That can actually be very costly for individuals
that have had a lot of dental work done in the past as well as individuals needing to get something fixed.
Fillings coming loose and edges of teeth break off when you bite down on anything later.
Also, if you are in need of a root canal or molar pulled and that PUNCH comes on through....
OUCH!!!
I speak from experience dude!!!

Maybe that's why I'm headed to the dentist tomorrow for my 6th crown!

Matt, have you tried 6550s in any of the thirty three D60s you've owned? The first D60 I owned had 6550s in it when I got it, JJ, and I thought it was amazing. I might order some to try in this one.

DUDE...
I've had multiple procedures over the last 3 months.
Recently was a gnarly root canal, I gotta get that pricey crown next.
Then 3 more fucking root canals dude.
Yeah I know, stoked right?
My grandmother did tell me, keep your teeth no matter the cost Jaybird.
I do agree with that.
Unless your John Frusciante.
Homeboy dropped 200k in that decayed filthy hole.
Good for him tho', embracing the suck and powering on through and he's still
playing the shit out of his guitar for a living.

I’ve owned a D120. I didn’t like it as much… something about the 60s that just work for me. It definitely doesn’t lack for balls… considering the amps is sitting next to… it hangs.

That room is 400 sq ft. So yeah… go room for a lot of stuff. No open back cabs…There is actually a secret room behind that wall the cabs back up against… gotta enter from the hole in the ceiling in the garage below!
