How I felt about the D120 Series II. Never played the OG D120, but the II seemed very neutral and lacked character. Too open with very little saturation. That amp was dark too until you cranked treble presence up high and then it just sounded brittle to me.
Same thing to me, also had a massive hum issue. Sent it right back.

I liked the D60 II much more. Never played the OG D120 to know whether it's more the model or version I don't like. I do like this OG VHT D60 I just got more than the series 2 I had. Fricking CLX is insane too.

Have you tried an eq in the loop? The D60 isn't that friendly at low volume without my 10 band in the loop. Then it's more like having a ch volume on the amp and I can get great bedroom volume with it. It of course shines wound up.

hi Mike.. maybe someday i will.... but PS100 for now haha

Bad ass.
Thought I posted already.
Congrats. I want one.
Only thing close that I've played,
Was Maddnotez Pitbull
Clip is 3:11 long too :D

thanks man, if you liked that Pitbull youd definitely like the Deliverance!

Awesome

I use a PS 100 with my Deliverance 120.

So when using a PS100 or PS2, do you get additional depth on top of the depth from the amp itself? I've always been curious about these units. I don't have issues getting good low volume tones from any amp as I run a 10 band eq in the loop and it acts like an additional channel volume, but I am interested in a PS2 or PS100.

You can control the volume, feel, tone, speaker breakup, etc.

With the two channels on the PS 100 I can set one channel up focused and tight to play rhythm. I can set the other channel a bit looser with the depth up to get a better feel for playing lead.

Stuff like that. It is just fine running. It isn't huge changes in the sound. It still sounds like the same amp.

You can set it up to sound very similar to the original sound. I don't do that. I set it up to get the best results for what I am doing.

Nice! Sounds like something I need to try. I recently grabbed a CLX and it has one of the best master volumes ever so not much need there. But I also grabbed a D60 and the master on it is a bit touchy. I can get great low/moderate volume with an MXR 10 band in the loop. But I wonder what the PS2 or PS100 would allow. My ears can't take the punishing volume it takes to get that power tube involvement anymore.

So I got to ask... is this Deliverance a keeper or what dude? :geek:

As for attenuation in general a lot of amps I don't use it at all. Some amps the PS 100 is useful. Other amps I prefer the THD Hot Plate.

It really depends on the amp and what you want to do.

The Deliverance Master I usually use in the 9 -10 o'clock range with the PS 100.
Without the PS 100 9 o'clock is about as loud as needed for most gigs.
I definitely do not crank the volume using attenuation or not.

I plugged the D60 into my PS100 this weekend. I really didn't do anything more for me that I can't get with a boost and/or EQ in the loop - in terms of low volume playing. Personally, I prefer all my amps with a little volume to them.

I mostly use my PS100 as the poweramp in my WD setup. Also from time to time as a load if I want to run the preamp of one amp into the poweramp of another.

Good to know! No doubt volume is what gets the speakers dancing and air moving; that's where the fun starts, but at the cost of hearing loss LOL!

You all suck. :)
D60 incoming. Older model with loop and fs for more/less.
I'll be surprised if this quells my Wizard GAS. Looking forward to it, after being curious all these years.

???

I gotta say, If I had to sell my MCII, I think the D60 would keep me satisfied. The more I play it, the more I feel it could about stand neck and neck. It truly is a phenomenal amplifier. Tremendous power, articulation is off the charts, dynamic as all get out, aggressive, bright & cutting...one of the greats IMHO.

I tried the PS1 and 2.
I didn't find them as useful or transparent as many folks seem to.
Tonight I reamped a 2204 thru a Suhr RL, into the power amp of a Mesa .50+.
Now that was money.
Worked out so well it has me wondering how the Syn1 would work with the Mesa.

Can't believe I missed this thread. Sounded mean man. But...I don't see it being in your stable long. I just got rid of my MK1 a few months ago and don't miss it too much. Like you and every other Fryette fan, you're waiting for the mighty UL MK2. I'm hoping we see it in '22 just like the Bogner Uber MK2. It would make for an epic year

Whatever man. You don't know. He's gonna keep it forever.
You really do miss it. You're just saying that to make yourself feel better.
Mine should be here within the week.
