NAD- Roland JC120

A year ago, my brother was swearing off tube amps and looking at all things solid state. I told him to quit wasting time and buy a Roland JC 120. He did, and so did my dad. They both love them, but my dad is getting up in years and it hurts his hands to play anymore. So on Christmas morning, my dad handed his JC120 over to me.

It's bittersweet as I hate seeing the old man have to stop playing, but I'm happy to give the amp a new home. For now, I have it running WDW for cleans with my Deluxe reverb and Uberschall. I love a good deep clean tone, and these amps combine for a pretty impressive wall of sound.

I know Rolands don't get a lot of attention on here, but I'm a proud new owner of what will likely be a never-sell amp. Cheers!

The rig my dumbass should've never gotten rid of: early revision Dual Rec through a Trace Elliot 4x12 and a JC120 with an A/B box. It was bliss

I had one of these way back in the day (1985), It was my first amp believe it or not. I went to try out for a band... I didn't have a car so they came and picked me up. Those motherfuckers drove me way out in the country and kicked me out of the car... my amp and guitar were never seen again. I had worked 2 summers bailing hay and other farm work to buy that amp and guitar. I was heartbroken.

Heck, there's even a JC-200 head!

Given that
-you'd never use the 1st channel, since it contains no chorus
-the JC-120H has the additional Hi Treble control
-the 120 Watts are already louder than f*#k
-the JC-120H just looks better
-even James Hetfield used the JC-120H for many years

you'd be crazy to go for the JC-200.

MFers!! I'd be on a mission to someday find them in a band situation, take their Fn trailer. After it's been loaded. And then back it into a lake or river. Jesus.

Yep, James had his JC 120H in the making-of videos from the Hardwired record. Love the old chorus toggle switch on that head shot!

Everybody should own a Roland JC 120 IMO. Great Great Amp!
