Here my attempt to review this amp the best I can.

First a little history, I previously owned a OD100-SE+. I sent it back to Suhr and had the PT-100 mod done to it. I owned that amp for quite sometime and loved it. I ended up selling in anticipation of a newer PT-100, that was 2-3 years ago. Since then I have owned Friedman, Cameron, Gower, Carol Ann, Diezel, Bogner, etc. I still have a good collection of 5 heads including some of these.

I know some people have dogged the looks of this amp but I personally love it. I get tired of seeing the gold pipping and gold knobs. I think it was nicely done and looks a lot better in person than the internet images.

Channel 1 Clean- As most people know the OD series amps by CAA have always been really good. I don't know if any changes was made on the PT-100 but this is hands down the best fender style clean I personally have ever heard on a channel switcher. Takes overdrives, fuzz, distortion pedals very well.

Channel 2 gain- I have been setting this channel up for a nice crunchy plexi tone with the gain on 4. I have played George Metropoulos original 68 plexi cranked and remember it very well. This is what this channel reminds me of with some good volume. I know Pete has said that he can get this amp to sound like the SL68 and I totally agree with that.

Channel 3 gain- ch2 and ch3 share the same EQ. I'm currently running the gain on channel 3 on 6-7. This is where the amp starts to really saturate. No matter the amount gain the floor level stays low and the amp is very articulate.

I can defiantly hear some restructure in ch2 and ch3 from my old modded PT100. I feel some of the upper mids have been removed and the over feel of the amp under the fingers in nice. Couple of features on this amp that really make it versatile is the Feedback control and the 3 position Whomp switch. With the Feedback control you can dial in some sag or tightness to the amp. Great for getting classic and dialing it up for a more modern feel. I set the Whomp in the middle position and gives the amp that nice big punchy bottom end.

Boost Function- Very cool feature that can be midi assigned to any channel. From what I understand that this is a solid state circuit. I played around dialing in my Suhr Shiba Drive reloaded and got it pretty much matched up. Tone at noon, level full, and gain slightly up. The boost for the most part is a clean boost but defiantly hearing a slight gain boost. Works great on all the channels

The loop is amazing, currently running my Strymon Flint and El Cap.

If anybody has any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer the best I can.

Thanks to Suhr and Pete for putting out this amp finally, LOL
