Nice score!

here's a quick low volume video of mine:

D120, for me, is more harmonically rich and the bass is HUGE and tight.

I actually thought the 60 was more pissed Marshall with a bunch of low end, while the 120 is bigger but wasn't as raw as the 60, smoother maybe. The 120 has I believe 2 12at7s for the PI? The power section of both amps really shape the sound. Either way both are amazing and different enough to warrant owning both in my book.
Fantastical amps.

I have not felt low end punch like I have with the D60. My other amps have huge low end too, but its just different. Don't know how to describe it only to say the D60's low end "punches" if that makes sense. Can't stop grinning whenever I plug into it.

It's the dynamics. Most highgain amps are more compressed and do not have the punch.

Spot on sir, I agree! It is the open/uncompressed nature that makes it all happen. I like this amp more every day.

I just finished playing the D60 against the Savage 120, and the KSR ARES, and while all have HUGE low end, the D60 has a very distinct"punch" the others aren't capable of. After another comparison today, I find it is the loudest of the bunch too.

SOT.. Do you guys hear the D120 as being overall more bright than the Sig-X? On my Sig, I have to turn up the Presence almost all the way compared to about 10:00 on the D. Just wondering if it's my amps.

I usually run the Presence and Treble pretty high on both amps if playing aggressive stuff. I use pretty different sounds from the two amps so I'm not sure....

I owned the D60 before the D120, after trying out a D120 I sold the 60 and bought it. I felt the 120 just had a lot more "oomph" to it, bigger bottom end, little angrier sounding. Also, as some have stated- bit more modern sounding which is what I was looking for, differences I would expect in some* amps that have different watt models.
That's not to say that the 60 doesn't have an awesome bottom end and sound very aggressive though, just that the 120 had a little something more to it

both are great amps, when I have the cash I will go back to owning both the D120 and the Ultra-lead, but until then, I'm loving the JCM 800 I traded for

Zach go check out that new 33 demo killertone does through an 800. That would do the exodus tone we were talking about imo.

Saw it as soon as it dropped, pretty damn sick sounding!
Right now I'm running the SD-1 and OD808 with a noise gate and damn it sounds awesome, but I really want to get my hands on the 33!
The pre orders are still open so I'm hoping to grab it by payday and replace the boss and maxon with it
